I phone got so many improvements and stuff - but has still so many disadvantages including the price...
DROID X is unveiled now but i dont see any of sign about it here...a little bit strange, that we have here news about somekind of a minor "improvements" istead of a new and serious phone... really strange

Kinda like overclocking a 10 year old computer to try and make it run on par with current computers.

they have made the signal reciption better by improving the software...what the buck is wrong with stevejobs...im going to sell my iphone back...curse u..u have just made my hard earnings go off....im not going to accept this at all..im going to look for another better PHONE WHICH IS MEANT TO CALL AND NOT PLAY FART GAMES ON IT

i`m glad i didnt buy the iphone 4, after buying a the ipad with the stupid wifi problem , i really saw something like that coming in the new iphone.
I already have my ipad jailbroken so i thing i`m gonna wait to the ios 4 update !!! .

The problems of the iPhone are probably exagerated by the media. Software update acctualy can fix hardware issues, even the boosting of the antenna signal. I can do it on my wireless router also, so there is hope for iPhone too.
Don't get me wrong, I own a Samsung s8500 wave which i consider a better choice, but the iPhone is not that bad of a phone.......just a little bit too expensive though.

Anonymous, 16 Jul 2010The shop can't have had "hidden" antenna's becaus... moretelco outlets will have hidden antenna which will improve the connection speed. some times u can spot it like a camera cube which is white in colour and cant be seen through.. this normaly plant in building to improve signal strength.

Just return the fone & have it replaced or getting ur money back... i have 1st hand experience of this happening... u send the fone back for repairs it comes back with the same problem.. u then so sick of waiting u request a refund & OMG.... i'll leave it at that..

some people report dropping call most of them just showing their bars dropping on youtube, you dont need to have 5 bars to make call :) don't even two
and why iphone users dont return their iphone's if they have real problems? everyone can return their phones and get their money back it's so simple: if you dont like it, return it

The antenna error is a hardware error...right!?
So they managed to tune the software, so it manages to burn more power searching for a signal which is weak because of the hardware error...am I wrong ?

It's really sad that you and your kind make Apple-Hate an actual career.
You also completely FAIL to comprehend how intelligent Symbian users gave up with Nokia and it's recent failures, and decided to buy the iphone. But the fact that many did this is ignored by yourself and you brand them as Sheep. Very childish.

GC, 16 Jul 2010This is nothing personal mr anonymous, but its amazing how ... moreof course it's a hardware issue! you don't have to be an engineer toi work it out! just take off your Apple tinted glasses and use this logic:
Put your iPhone4 down on the table and signal strengtgh is unaffected
pick it up and you might (depending if you hold it how you want and not as Jobs says) see your signal bars decrease as you "bridge" the 2 antannae
Given that it only happens when someone has the iPhone in their hands means it MUST be hardware
P.S. i have seen the signal drop issue in good signal areas (i.e. O2 shops in the UK have signal boosters hidden on the shopfloor - even an iPhone directly under a mast lost bars when held in the lower left corner)

Overblown media coverage and foaming mouthed hate has put this problem way way out of proportion. It's to be expected though when a company does so well and makes so much money.
Apple may have dropped the ball here, but it still in no way matches the unholy foul up by Nokia on the N97. Hardware that actually damaged it's OWN hardware. Camera shutter that damaged the lens. lol.
