[deleted post]nHD is slightly less than VGA but at least its HD widescreen (16:9) format meaning downscaling is much easier for Devs than iphone format which is 3:2! other than iphone no other tech uses this stupid format!

It does look very Android-ish, but what exactly are people expecting? All OS more or less look like this; either grid or list menus.

"Still let’s don’t forget Symbian^4 aims Nokia’s mid-range devices, while MeeGo is intended for the high-end class." Can you please stop miss informing customers about this idea that symbian is inferior by choice. Symbian becoming open source is meant to drive the cost down, not the quality. Meego will be developed for Tablets, MID, Netbooks and Mobile Computers, it is meant to compliment a smartphone not replace it. Both Symbian and Meego will be linked by QT, which Nokia choosed as the base developer language going forward. Nokia has a gameplan to address all customer wants and needs; just head over to forum.nokia.com to see the big picture.

Not Nokia develop the new OS, Sony Ericsson is also a part of it. And Sony Ericsson will use the Symbian 4 OS on their high-end models. Symbian 4 is NOT only for the mid range segment 4 Nokia. By the way don'y know everything about the new OS.

I em symbian user for about 10.year now, and i can easy say that, i don't like this kind of symbian4.
This kind of Symbian4 is like to jump in to one other OS like WinXP, Apple, Unix, Droid or Linux, or just like changing religion.
Nokia and Symbian didn't have to make so much changes on UI like that, and it don't have to look to much differently than other OS's!

[deleted post]Yeah, you're right. It's definitely NOT Android.
Google, HTC at al would not create such a hideous UI. Just like S60 v5, it's very inconsistent (again)... they mix various font elements (italics, bold, styles and shapes) without any consistent reason.
They even make sublevel menus more important than main menus by bolding them.
And put that font for the flip clock? Oh wait... is that a seconds hand in the flip clock?
Yeah, I guess that's not Android. :-) And btw, I'm not american.
