Apple squeezes the reception out of Nokia N97 mini

21 July, 2010
Apple seem keen to prove other smartphones have the same reception attenuation as the iPhone 4. And they are getting back with a video of Nokia N97 mini that suffers from the same grip of death as the iPhone...

"Apple failed to show a faulty Nokia handset(probably because Nokia has a smaller smartphone market share in the US)"

Wrong statement. It should be Nokia does not suffer from an issue where the phone decides to kill your call. Really 'INNOVATIVE'! That's apple for ya. Really rotten.

This was bound to happen- Apple has one device that outsells many, many other smartphones, for no visible reason other than the chic of it (and the iSheep being blind). Now Apple had the insolence to blame its only major hardware failure on the mobile phone industry as a whole, rather than just upon itself- which obviously triggered the (already quite built) irritation of the other companies. I can sort of see Apple's point in the argument, but for god's sake don't shake off the responsibility for your own problem!

Apple are so up them self its not even funny. I cant think of one other company who use the same dirty tricks they do and so often. "its the customers fault" no wait "other companies do it to" never had a dropped called on any other phone in my lifetime...

Im totally independent, just a businessman with a few companies. Apple is handling this terribly.

They should have put their hand up and admitted the wrong. Jobs is severely damaging his credibility and Apples brand.

In essence - when confronted with a problem - blame everyone else and look for scapegoats. Admit it Jobs "The engineering company" messed up big time.

As a consumer I have lost a great deal of faith in their brand - and how they will handle problems in the future too.
