22 July, 2010
And the results are in - Nokia just announced their Q2 financial results. To summarize - sales are up, profits are down, shifting currency exchange rates didn't help and smartphones have sold more units and...

symbian-L, 25 Jul 2010hahaha... S.e. Ha!? And what's special ab0ut that ph0ne? We... moreYeah, cheap outdated UI laggy performance with terrible Apps.and bad hardware of choice.

I know SE phones are bad,but i'll choose them anyday than nokia's crappy xpressmusic, can't match the SE's walkman quality.

Symbian?that's one horrible choice for any smartphone platform be it for business it's no match in email capabilities to blackberry,in terms of camera they're no match for SE,as for touchscreen, you nokia fans should just go up to balcony and jump along with that crappy nokia.

Some of you said that 5800 is great,n97 is cool, that's UNBELIEVABLY STUPID..!!!!!

Even some commented at my post that nokia can do multitouch with symbian in guitar hero game??Then i dare you all to PROVE IT..!!!

Show me the proof of nokia's handsset that could detect five fingers simultaneously the way iPhone could, the way of true multitouch, not just a fake dual touch you all claimed as multitouch, even just to be able to pinch zooming you claim it as multitouch,PATEHTIC..!!!

There's no way for nokia's touchscreen to outperform iPhone since nokia is using different kind of cheap glass from iPhone and that dying symbian to support the interface,no wonder nokia keep loosing their market, they deserved that for bullying their fans by selling outdated monotonous un-innovative phones.

Even though I hate Nokia for leaving me out of pocket for about a £1000 with the damned N97, I still wouldn't count them out. The N8 definitely looks like a contender but we need to wait and see whether this 256MB of RAM will be enough. If it's anything like the N97 where you need to keep an eye on apps running in the background to have the phone functioning properly then Nokia will defo lose out. sure! Symbian does not require that much RAM but they seem to forget that some third party apps do.
Android is doing good things, the way I see it they studied the market, identified areas where apple, Nokia and the rest neglected and went in only problem I have being an HTC Desire user is the fact that I have to wait till HTC port there Sense UI to Android 2.2 "froyo" for me to get the update and this I think is what's gonna slow the Android invasion down. It's not only HTC doing this every other manufacturer wants to do this.
Iphone hate it or love it is on a roll right now even with antennagate apple are failing to keep up with demand to me this suggests a good product.

Too late Nokia. Releasing an OS that only supports one phone is the most stupid thing ever done on earth. And seriously, 680mhz processor, 360x640 res, outdated UI, and all those stuff just fails to impress. It's too late... Android is already filling in the gap of smartphones. Nokia even failed to make a high-end to be successful. N97 was admittedly a fail and n900 can't even reach the 100,000 mark. Major fail. This is what they get from crying their asses off to the court to sue Apple. :|

analysit predicited that apple will overtake nokia in mid 2010 and i am still waiting for the day when apple even though cheating people and making hype will be no.1 and loyal, honest whatever nokia u say will be doomed. I love apple and wished steve job would be a gay.

It's too late for Nokia now. They are pinning all their hopes on an OS that isn't even released to the public yet, and one that is only available on one device. If it doesn't embrace Android, then HTC and Samsung and SE will dominate the high end market.

Symbian 3 should have been released a year ago.

It's no good having a device like the N900 with it's great OS, if so few support it. Android isn't going to go away either, as it's contantly being updated to match future hardware.
