had a chance to play with it as my friend works in nokia. while I know its not complete yet, UI is so sluggish and browser is crap. camera is good, but 12 mp is just useless. Galaxy S is the present and future as far as 2010 is concerned.

yeah another delay. but, it is better to wait for a month or so than to whine for a year about problems that were not foreseen. i guess nokia is taking its time to polish the software, hardware and ui so that it wouldn't end up a problem-ridden like that of Iphone4, a big piece of very expensive so-called smartphone and epitome of technology

Again..NOKIA N8 function is great than many others phone..with the new Symbiao^3 I think is easyly to hit the markets..

Does anybody know what finger grease will be like on this handset? I'm hoping Nokie have improved in this area coz i love their handsets but they do tend to get very sticky.

The reason why nokia is delaying the release of n8 is because nokia wanted to make sure that n8 will not face a problem like iphone4 even if some even if buyers buy different brands because they are tired of waiting. nokia learns from the mistake of apple that releasing of phones before a expected release could turn into a much more disaster nokia choose to lose SOME market share for the n8 than to lose them all.
Releasing of phones before expected release=short time to test the phone=faulty phone
it is better to wait for a few months than to get a faulty phone that you get from your hard earned money.

Nokia is wise and mature. Instead of hastily releasing their flagship phone without proper quality check, like some company did, they make sure everything's alright even if it results in delay and cause some potential buyers to buy other phones. They care about customers not just money.

Managed to bag a engineering test model from work. Awesome phone, Symbian 3 isn't as slick as it could be but the phone does everything I want it to do and 4 is only around the corner. I can listen to music while texting, switch to my photo's, check the web and then take a call. Everything keeps going, that's what I want. The FM transmitter in the N97 would've been good, but you can't get everything
