For something new, 1.3 MP is old technology. Design is more
Samsung than Nokia original. This phone has not much identity to be a music phone, in fact, it has not much identity at all. Perhaps if price is not as steep, phone will have some sense

Motorola and Samsung solutions are more stylish than this ugly nokia, only the screen is interesting (QVGA, 16 millions true color)

        The 6126 is thinner
and there are differences between 6126 and 6131
6126 has no InfraRed and FM Radio while 6131 does and that's why 6126 is thinner.

17mm... No, it's not thinner than the 6131. If you read the rest of the posts you'd see that it is the same as the 6131. It's 17mm "average" width, not maximum width, which is still 20mm.

Hmm, a 3 mm less thicker 6131. Nokia have upgraded their previous model but what's the point in a few millimetres?

P.S. stop these sorry fans wars, because it's ugly to read!

Nokia makes always good allround phones. They take reasonable pictures and have a good MP3 player. And in the first instance: They are easy to use and have lots of features you'll miss in other phones. And don't forget their attractive pricing.

And I think this is why they're market leader :p

Think whatever you like of this one, designwise, features etc, but it will open the flap with a touch of a button... :) Does your Razr do that?

If you don't like this phone, then it's probably not made for you. The main attraction of this phone is it's QVGA (320x240) TFT LCD with a whopping, mind-boggling 16 MILLION TRUE COLORS!!! Personally, I'd look elsewhere, but it may do the trick for you, who knows...

Nokia, huhm, only a rubbish, garbage and like ugly, poor if comparing with Motorola. Why I say that ? maybe I have some reasons to say that :
                              Price is too expensive.
Design is too ugly, boorish, like bricks.
                              Feature is simple, monotonous.
Cover for phone is always made from plastic (ie low products of Motorola, high products are always metal)
Quality of screen is too bad : dark, blur, jagged.
In brief, Nokia will never win Motorola. And I can't understand, up to now, Nokia still rank in first. Motorola must go ahead and knock Nokia out.

There has to be a version that has the north american standers so if the 6131 has (PTT) push to talk , canada dusent support ptt so if phone has that standard feature they nead to make a version to meat n americas standers for a phone to come out with fido or rogers .

Nokia needs to improve the quality of its goods, IMO, if they are ever going to be a true competitor of the clamshell market. 1.3 MP camera may have been good by yesterday's standards, but to be honest I think its a waste of time.

Of course, to service the entry to middle level markets would be fine, I suppose.

The difference between this model and the 6131 is that in the 6126, for whatever odd reason, they have disabled the infrared port and the fm radio.

Both models have been approved for sale in the USA by the FCC.

The thickness is the same thickness. The 17mm mentioned in the press release refers to the "average" width of the phone, not the max width. Again, the 6131 and 6126 are identical except for the FM radio and IR.

Well there are quite a few things i notice different between 6126 and 6131.

SAR Number is different if you check their listed number on Nokia Sites

Thickness is different as well. As 6131 is 20mm Thick while 6126 is only 17mm.

So could someone confirm the thickness issues?
