Lambo, 10 Aug 2010Very slowly but surely.... but they r still producing phone... moreso true and it's killing them they should of had a few symbian3 devices out already and quickly make the s60 to symbian3.i'm kinda annoyed the fact that they wont use maemo i have the n900 and i love it....i almost forgot about symbian after using it lol

My last 3 nokia handset 6230(not i) by far the best nokia phone ever built (kept it for holiday use only, don't want to f**k up my Desire) then it was the 6280..... returned it within 7days (crap), then it was the 5800... almost smashed it against the wall.... firmware update is a joke with nokia... they worse and very laggy.
S60 is dead long time ago.... pls move on Nokia

seriously?! and nokia still considers this piece of sh*t a "smartphone"?! yeah im sorry. but for today's standard and how all these dumbphones are coming, symbian shouldn't even be considered as a smartphone anymore. its already the most stupid os ever today. so that 'market share' of their can suck it. android is the real true os.
i am so not surprised this company is loosing a HUGE 40% drop on revenue. rest in peace nokia and symbian.

KARTIKEYA, 10 Aug 2010YAA 5230 IS 3G device.well i am a nokia admirer but i can s... moreI totally agree with you. They should start using Maemo OS on their high end phones and Symbian 3 on the mid range and lower end. Even GSM arena praised the Maemo OS in the review of the N900.
I think the 5250 design is amazing. I see a bit of the X6 and C6. Its hardware buttons are similar to the C6 and the design works very well. Just waiting for the specs......the only let down so far is the screen appears to be on the small side. Oh well, i guess u can't have it all. I was planning to replace my 5230 with the C6 but then I saw this, however, I Think i'll stick to the C6 as planned mainly becuz of the screen size and C6 probably has better specs and with a price of about 100 euros it might just be better looking 5230 with a smaller screen. However I think its a great move from Nokia. Gives ppl more options like LG and Samsung.

[deleted post]dude i have seen and listened the video wherever the errors ocurred he said it was due to prototype ,but there were some shortcomings and those were definately not because of prototype,meego doesnt looks good,and doesnt possess homescreens , but in final version home screen may come.also meego was not that better like maemo,android,symbian 3 even s60 kept in front of it will look good!

yaa i am too an android lover but i have to accept that maemo5 is bettter than android .its got evrything accurate but not just a right hardware model which would be its last too.nokia has gone grazy that they are getting maemo dead.meego is bullshit crap i checked its prototype video.maemo is the best smartphone os i have ever experienced,even n900 on whcich it was runnig is the best model,but a year ago.maemo can rock if it gets good hardware models or a new refurbish n900 could do wonders for it!

I respected Nokia when mobile phones first came out, they were about ease of use. Now Apple achieved that in the smartphone market, which somehow Nokia missed. Android has now followed and Samsung for many years has simpler UI's in all their phones. Nokia will only be successful with handsets like this, cheaply made, low end offerings that seem in the surface of it, superior to other handsets in the same price range.

YAA 5230 IS 3G device.well i am a nokia admirer but i can seriously accept that the looks is like x10 or x8 and the round curves on top and bottom remind me of vivaz.well i just cant understand that why nokia is just staggering that s60 on new devices,that too touch screen ones.it should give them symbian3 and on smartphones maemo is the best choice ,if it starts running in portrait mode, maemo is the real spirit of multitasking,and if compared it is better than andriod too,in android gps and camera cant function simultaneously,i checked it in my friends galaxy s,and in maemo u can run 16 thats right you read 16apps simultaneously! maemo5 rocks trust me you can videos on ,maemo website.

To be honest, Nokia should have just stopped at 5800. But they killed it bringing out these more affordable one. The last phone that Nokia actually impressed me was the n95 black or even the n96!

Rounding off the TOP TEN, hehe :-) WOW, Nokia now copying Sony Ericsson design? I never thought I'd see the day. Even the most loyal Nokia fan will have to admit, thats an Xperia. I guess SE should feel flattered.
