what in the hell where they thinking with these phones. Big ass camera hump that could have been filled in with more battery capacity and NO HEADPHONE JACK??? Why the hell not! its not like it was trying to keep a slimmer profile. And figerprint scanner on the front instead of having it where the Moto dimple should be on the back .No excuses. This is a disaster of a design. Its so frustrating because I was looking forward to getting this phone

It is a smart (yet cheap) design trick to hide bezels. Not that it will completely hide bezels but it can make people pay less attention to large bottom bezel. Now assume there's no "moto" written in front and see how the big the bottom bezel is... It just seems ridiculously big for today's standards :D

Even HTC used make such cheap tricks by using thick black space all around the screen. But nowadays people are smart enough to understand these things.

        AnonD-205566, 09 Jun 2016*sigh* Everyone: the camera hump isn't such a big deal. ... moreStrap-ons aren't the same as built-ins

Just the latest in the "me too" category.
So much more will be available in the next couple of months.
This would have to be rock bottom priced on this time waster.
Hope your happy with marshmallow, cause that's all it'll run.

No 3.5mm jack = instant dealbreaker. I was actually somewhat looking forward to this phone too...

Anonymous, 09 Jun 2016at least it's more subtle than Samsung's...But the Samsung one doesn't enlarge the bezel...

When will OEMs learn about the negative impact of exclusives on sales. The more powerful Z Force (3500mAh battery and powerful camera) should also be made available here in the US instead of just the regular Z with the smaller 2600mAh battery and 13MP camera.
Sorry I will not be getting a phone with such a small battery.
But I do like the Phab 2 Tango phone plus that big battery..even though it is on the large side.

It has the ugliest looking fingerprint sensor, borrowed from latest Moto G.

this year was a simple year for android phones. Objective:beat Sammy
so you get a 820 with 4g Ram and you put a decent/good camera and a good battery
you make a phone from aluminium and you don't get a ui full of bloat
then sell it for 60% of the cost of s7 and you make lots of money
                                too hard!

One thinner than anything with 13Mp, other still quite thin with mil rated body and 21Mp. +useful cases(bigger battery,...,projector-last one build IN not in case, lowend/midrange samsung yearsyears before). Be it battery body, camera - everyone gets what he wants, whats there to complain. Looking back at x force camera performance, I just cannot wait to see perform this beast. Still, wonder what kind of amoled it got...

But no Daydream VR support? No front-facing stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and 24-bit/192khz DAC/Amplifier? The ZTE Axon 7 is sounding more and more like 2016's no-compromise phone.

                                        *sigh*

Everyone: the camera hump isn't such a big deal. You're gonna get this phone with a style cover / style mod / whatever they call it, which is going to reduce that hump (or level it, who knows). Those battery mods will be pretty affordable once third parties get in on it, and you'll be able to decide if you want a 2600, 3500, 7000 mAh battery for once (which is pretty much an ideal scenario). With 10000 mAh external batteries going for under 40 bucks, I bet these things are gonna be affordable.
Yes, that bottom chin is ugly af. Yes, I miss the front facing speakers too. But this one I think is going to succeed with the whole modular thing. A Pico projector and jbl speakers (they should sound really good) are really nice things to add if you can make use of them (and if they don't break the bank, of course), and who knows what mods third parties are gonna come up with.
Let's just hope Lenovo don't shoot themselves in the foot like LG did and keep some mods out of some markets.
