15 August, 2010
Manufacturers are still keeping their upcoming Windows Phone 7 devices to themselves, or at they are least trying to. Photos of a WP7 device from Samsung hit Twitter, and it's one we haven’t seen before...

wp7 is goin to be BIG it's interesting to see who's bringing the best wp7 phone to market, but i'm definately very interesting. Still i dont like that couple of things is same level than iOS, so i'f im changing, i still cannot use full multitasking, copy paste missing= thats bad, no flash from begin, so cannot test that either etc.

But that wp7 gives me same feelings what i had buying my first iphone, "i have to try that" :)

By this time next year WP7 will be easily the top phone OS out there. This thing just breeds inovation. While most phones will be relying on apps this phone will have many things that are native to the OS and all apps will run on all WP7 devices unlike Android. And it doesnt look like a cluttered mess like most phones, everything in its proper place. Sports sites, Companies, Businesses, News or whatever can have their own "hub" or go into a hud that you created. No more searching through a hundred apps looking for that certain one. I cant wait for this to be released, I want a HTC device, but Ill take whatever Tmobile cooks up.

I had Samsung N500, which if anything only had some antenna problem after 2-3 years of use which has been quickly fixed by the service center. After that I had X600 which was perfectly fine with absolutely no issues. But the real thing was Samsung D600 which i bought 2006 or 2007 and I am still using it as a second phone (not even a glitch with it). Now I've got Samsung Galaxy Spica, upgraded to 2.1, which has an issue or two, but that's mainly because of the smartphone OS and all of the applications that I have installed. No hardware issues.

However I have a friend who had to change the display cable on 2 of his Samsung slider, but he is kind of using all his phones in an really active way - not just using them for a calls, but also throwing them here and there and stuff.

To samsung hater: you can repair microphone, replace battery. I don't see a reason to buy another phone just because of that.

Anonymous, 15 Aug 2010Samsung isnt that bad, they got their new galaxy and the d5... moreYeah they have a new galaxy phone. Did you know that both modles they launched in the U.S. have serious GPS issues? They promised a fix but we haven't seen it yet. It reminds me of the update they promised the Behold 2 and they never lived up to it.

I have to say I completely agree with a lot of you who are frustrated with Samsung's phones. I used to be a loyal Samsung customer, and would not buy any phone if it wasn't made by Samsung. In all I used about five Samsung phones within a year. That all ended when I discovered that they make their phones are meant to be replaced within a year or less. None of their phones lasted a year with me, even when I took very good care of them. The last one I bought was the U700. The silver coating started peeling after a week, the wheel that was used instead of a d-pad didn't work, and a few weeks later, the touch sensitive buttons stopped working, making the phone completely useless. That was the turning point for me. Samsung customer service did not replace the phone because it was not a U.S. model. I switched to HTC is it has proven to be one of the best. This is just a little word or caution for some of you.

Man, how ugly is the UI of WP7. I´m thinking that Microsoft is trying to be innovative but they dont know what people likes and wants. They loosed the path mow. Like Motorola, who were great in the past but dont follow the market and almost bankrupt. Now, while they are almost dead, they are trying to reemerge with Android OS. In my opinion, Microsoft must do something like this.
