By the way, from my research it seem that SD820 soc only support dual channel which mean that OP3 need to use the 4gb+2gb arrangement that does not run as dual channel.
Since to achieve triple channel the SoC need to have 3 slot for the ram, I dont think Qualcomm will make another slot just to let phonemakers make a triple channel, given that the SoC have limited space to work with.

It's disheartening to see how far OnePlus has fallen.
OnePlus 1 was indeed an excellent device; price, quality and stability everything about that phone was spot on but starting from OnePlus 2 there has been a steady deterioration in their quality.
Horrible heating issues in OnePlus 2 and now RAM management and battery issues with OnePlus 3. OnePlus has clearly tarnished their name.

Oh no, first LG g5 has a coat of paint over the metal and now One plus one can't beat the S7 in a race! Pick a phone you like, own it, live with it and move on. You can buy 2 one plus 3's for each S7 - what are you doing with your phones to demand more power than an Imac?
I will buy the non-metal G5 as I want to replace the battery every year - rather than carry a power bank strapped to it.

otherwise the ram wont run as dual channel, I've never heard a 3gb+3gb arrangement, so the arrangement for 6gb in OP3 is most probably a 4gb+2gb in which it will not run as dual channel.
So its probably wise to just stick to 4gb or 8gb in the future.

I have Blackberry Z3 with 1.5GB and only .5Gb at disposal and it was cost ,2 yr back,$250 !! (Yes ) . But till it never hanged except 5 times . I generally use it for browsing,gaming, Twitter , Instagram and email (all at once). Its not the RAM but R&D spent on the products. That's why iPhone is costly and xaiomi cheap.

You guys need to see how many views tech videos get on YouTube in comparison to others and you will see that most of the world doesn't care about spec sheets, most people buy phones for their looks and features. Samsung in its advertisements doesn't mention that it's phones have the fastest processors, rather they focus on things like water proofing, the camera and it's looks, which are practical things people appreciate

With One plus 3, at least it's slightly more future proof. But i really wonder why they need 6gb ram when their OS is suppose to be as skinny as possible.

Only shows that more number don't mean better performance. Maybe that's the reason why iphone and sony stick to 2gb and 2gb or ram.
