lol So nokia rolls out a WVGA device with 1Ghz cpu and 512mb RAM and 64GB internal memory and you call it over the top? That's exactly what they need to get back in the race!

apparently, the specs posted in the article aren't accurate if you look at the chinese forum where the specs were leaked you'll see the updated specs. someone posted them some pages back but they include among other things, a 12 MP camera, powervr graphics and cortex a8 processor

What is your objective with this not yet invented super phone you are talking about? If you can answer me what the hell you are going to do with a phone that has more than 1Ghz processor and 512mb RAM i will understand. Other that that, you probably couldn't afford one but still feel the need to act "techy cool" on GSMarena for no reason.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon is just a platform & name for a chipset architecture. It's a chipset which integrates an ARM A8 Cortex Single-Core it's heart running at 1Ghz, GSM, EDGE HSPA, WIFI, GPU. These might be the early QSD8250/8650 series which can drive upto 12" 30cm screens at 1440x900pixels resolution. This must be the same variant of chipset running in the Apple Iphone4. The Dell streak uses an QSD8250 series, so does LG Expo & Nexus One use 8250 Snapdragon.
If this QSD8250 chipset is in the N9 & it's the Q4 2008 version of QSD8250 along with the QSD8650 then they they are likley to be squeezed or shrinked onto a die the size of .65nm in diamter. If it is the *A* version QSD8250A/QSD8650A then the chips are late 2009 & are .45nm & can run upto 1.3GHz. The Droid Incredible & Evo 4G use the newer QSD8650 .45nm.

nokia never give os update, so when you buy phone its already dead.
frimware update was for only usefull for nokia.
i use nokia mobiles more then 10 years, as user i give free advice to new buyers.

Pls nokia we want somthin highr in specs............N9 is outdated.............1Ghz processor and 512MB ram is still in market............so nokia would be outdated in specs by atleast 7 months(if 2 b released by feb)

What happened to the 8Mp camera. 5Mp is plenty if sensor, lens, software are upto scratch. Also 720P is nice too.

Nokia N9 it's a real Samsung I9000 Galaxy S killer (best phone ever build). I will buy that phone if be reasonable price but still i need to wait. Until comes to a market i gonna to use my present Nokia N95 8GB :)
