26 August, 2010
Nokia are obviously not doing a great job preventing those leaks as another of their handsets has been previewed well-ahead of its official announcement. This time it's the Nokia C7 and even though the preview...

Cheap plastic body? It looks just like an E-series phone (like a touch E71) which you lauded as being great/solid looking (and is). Just because the N8 is aluminum body, this hardly looks like a cheap replacement.

looks like a lovely device...i like the look of the back w/ the dual speakers n camera...the front not so much. i hope the device will run MeeGo instead of symbian 3. But all in all looks like Nokia is coming back strong..as they should. Side comment..i hope Nokia makes a Device based on the 3rd choice of the Design by community project, even though it came in 3rd..for me it was the best design..just slap on Meego on that baby n all the recent Nokia innovations and make it 3G/4G switchable...someone from Nokia pass this on top n make it happen

There is something wrong with prices. May be mixed up something. Official price of N8 in Russia is 19990 rubles. That's about 510 euro, not 450. So C7 will cost at least 16000. Still too much considering that Desire cost 21000-22000.

Will it be a Pentaband like the N8 and able to pick both AT&T and T-Mobile U.S 3g Signals?

Anonymous, 26 Aug 2010Are you serious? What person cannot afford 600 Euros a year... moreIf welfare in Sweden is generous enough for people to afford an iPhone every month, then I suppose the people for whom €600 is a lot of money to spend on a phone would be the 99.86% of the world's population that don't live in Sweden.

i tried android and windows for a while.i am "terminal tester" at cosmote romania and a i tried many mobiles in my life. my opinion is that symbian is still the best. personal,i don't like android and especially windows at all.

I just read the review, different from N8: different looks, no hdmi port, 8GB of memory (N8 16GB), lower resolution camera (probably borrowed from N86). And that's it. They share the screen, hardware, battery, software (including USB-OTG as well since it's part of the OS)

Come on people, Nokia will be setting the standard way up when this thing hits the market. It can do more than an Iphone but costs less than a half of it. Decent size screen, decent camera, stereo-loudspeaker on the back, pure multitasking, full browser support with java and flash, decent looks and great choise of materials. And count in free preloaded maps and navigation (you have no idea how useful that is when you're abroad and can't use the network), expandable mass storage, a great number of apps, games, themes and other stuff available on Ovi store, Getjar and other places.
Maybe it will even outsell 5800, I think that's what Nokia wants.

Ok im no expert when it comes to the hardware and the most technical details about how much ram, and cpu, internal memory etc is required to make the phone better and able to handle multi tasking etc. but im pretty sure that these new phones from nokia, The C7, N8, and that monster of a N9 will be able to stand their own against the android monsters and the I phone 4, nokia's user friendliness and features, easy use of applications combined with all these new hardware and symbian 3 should make it great all round smartphones, and im sure the E-series will come up with something special too, a touchscreen beauty, The E-series never dissapoints, btw i dont know whats the dissapoint with the N97? i think its an awesome phone and when updated to the latest software version is great to use, there is nothing that the phone really lacks so i cant understand what problems these people have when ive had none with any of my many nokias, i hope these phones are reasonably priced and that nokia will up their game even more from now on! and guys to argue over phones are dumb, lets be honest here most of the top of the range smartphones regardless of wheather its a nokia, Htc, samsung, blackberry etc, they are all great and have awesome features, we just getting greedy and want more because technology is evolving so kwikly, especially with cell phones.
