Let the new phone by Microsoft be high end but the price should be midrange. Microsoft don't ask the moon. Learn something from xiaomi how to price your phones.

android is bloated when released now its slimming down
windows is slim when released now its beefing up
android and ios has no desktop variant so they are very agile
windows is a shape shifting OS [and service]
if at all there should be a war it has to be android vs ios
windows is becoming a universal platform irrespective of the devices
which can never be achieved by android and ios

Cheater microsoft. They are not giving their full potential to windows phone. Promised to provide win10 to all lumia but didn't. Os so far is good but not upto the level of 8.1. Once they release surface phone, they will stop developing os for lumia. As they sell their hardware manufacture unit to someone else and now windows phones are out of stock in several markets.

I used 950XL and anticipated in excitement and I had to return the phone twice and cancelled the purchase... and there are a lot of wrongs in MS phones... but I can't wait for another brand / vendor using windows 10 mobile!

We need really high end devices, at the moment the people has different opinions about Microsoft phones because at the moment Microsoft only has 2 high end models. The other phone models compete with android counterparts and win because now android phones should have at least 1gb of ram to work more or less fine. however they crash or are slower than Microsoft phones, Just compare the prices of Microsoft phones and try to buy an anroid phone at the same price and expect it to do the same things or perform better. I think that Microsoft will success if they allow developers to make apps for continuum. So they can say that they have a hybrid Phone/PC

Do you, brainwashed lagdroid fans really feel threatened? Never seen so much negative comments on WP thread. I bet none of you never esever used windowns phone. So, just go, where do you belong. A LOT of people actually do USE WP and can confirm that you are talking crap.

the things you said is more of 80% speculation and not come from a real common user perspective. and no i dont agree about that ios and wp will not benefit from more RAM and CPU as the prove of that are, if u read the specs newer idevices always come with more RAM and powerful chipset more then the last year device, why? because its not enough, apps will getting more complex and user will need more thing can be done on their gadget. as a user i want to make my phone or tablet can be my second monitor of my laptop, or i can run an media server with my phone, or i can run and test my company server using my phone or anything close to the thing we used to do with a laptop, it is called progress and no one denying that mobile gadget is replacing PC or laptop now.
if u think its better to give it all minimum than there come the fall, that is what happen with windowsphone and what holding ios afload are just the premium status, social hype and trend, and many developers still producing apps for them and actually ios still have something better as they always put in good quality hardware like better DAC, powerfull GPU, good wifi chip, good camera chip and lens and so on, so for the user who only need that, its good enough even when a power user want something other stuff they need to come to.. android or windows tablet which is hillarious for me.
microsoft have different story they dont have anything to offer as an advantage, they lock the os down just like iphone, but the market can't offer many things and they never put anything usefull or better thing in their smartphone capability. please tell me how it is easy to have a smartphone that can't share it screen to a monitor or tv? or convert it into a wireless camera? or hosting media files for private network, ok not that geeky things, simple thing like YM is not even exist in windowsphone, just compare it with same hardware android with 512mb RAM and Sd400 yeah that lowend old android can still do more than lumia 520 by a long miles, yes its lag, yes its not fast but it can do it. lumia 520 it is lag, snappy only on homescreen and it can't do anything like any old android can do.
when i change new phone, my old android phone can still be use as other thing. but what can i do with old wp and old ios? fm radio? standing clock?

Microsoft really cares for its phones replacement would not the solution to change to other phones. 950 series is the only phones which gives performance like desktop. Did you now stealing data from an android is very easy as compared to lumia. you can track a network from an android but with lumia it is not possible. secure boot would not destroy the OS in comparion to android. increasing battery and ram would not the solution for an android phone. can anybody (tech user) explain why lumia and iphone not increasing there ram and battery? or in other way they are fool that they cannot provide 4gb or 3000mah or more battery. they easily can do. try speed compare to android by typing and switching the apps you will easily see the diffrence. asphalt 8 example a best game which give better performance in iphone and lumia compared to android you will see the result. i am not against android but people who became smart by just typing lumia is bad and want to tell them.

Microsoft didn't care about the 950 or the 950XL and they won't care about any future phone. I walked away from Windows after they wouldn't make a replacement for the 920. It's over for Window phones.

i don't know why people are against Lumia phones but i love it. i used lumia 820 till date with no problem even if i can give online support with Teamviewer. Some says or always there is a problem with the apps as i read the comments. But to my knowledge i dont have any app which says leave lumia and go for android. There is a RAM shared concept which first bring by iphone now same thing with lumia thats why they are running only on 1gb ram. not like 6gb or more and increasing in android. And lumia camera awesome if you really know about photos then you are unable to comment. if someone have problem with the GUI or usability then dont say its tough say you are not able to use it. If i asked what can you use in iphone the answer is only one thing app uninstall and install thats it. i have many thing to write about this beautiful phone. And trust me if you touch lumia 950 (any model) i bet you forget to use your 8gb laptop of any brand.

The problem with Windows Phone, no matter what anyone says, is apps. Simple as that. I had several Windows Phones and in 2014 got the OnePlus One. Overtime it seemed to crash often, slow on the apps, etc. Got a Nokia Lumia 930 (kept the OnePlus) and started using it. Stable for sure. But again, the apps. Many apps used for business are NOT on the Windows Phone platform.
My Lumia 930 then had a mic board issue and as they could not repair it, the refunded all my money. So two months ago when in Seattle I buy a 950 XL. Put a 128GB MicroSD on it, got many beautiful and classy Mozo back covers etc. Long story shot, the app ecosystem did not change at all. Sold the phone yesterday.
Until my OnePlus 3 arrives I am using the OnePlus one that I wiped completely and loaded its latest OS. The thing simply flies and all the apps I need are there.
I honestly tried and truly cheered for Microsoft to do something but the reality is, it is simply too late. There is nothing they can do right now to attract developers. Android and iOS are too far ahead in user base. Very sad with the current Windows Phone situation but I do believe it is time for Microsoft to move on. They are moving towards a cloud first mentality and subscription based revenue model. So they really do not care which OS you use, as long as you use Microsoft apps and services. That is already available on Android and iOS.
RIP Windows Phone.

Dear Microsoft when will you release OS update that is free of bugs and phones with up to date hardware configuration??
When your phone will be available in market but that time it would be outdated.
Yes apps are available. But if I'm not wrong, those apps are not completely optimized for the OS.
OS bugs are big headache. Fans please don't say there is no bugs.
A panorama mode, interactive tiles, better multitasking and faster app opening speed like on iPhone 6s.
You need to attract both users and app developers at a time to stay in race.
I'll definitely continue with windows phone if Microsoft offers these. There should be 3rd OS..
