Just upgraded from K750i to the N80 and I must say it's far better. The Symbian OS gives me the freedom to install any software I want onto the phone, something that the SE kit it lacking. Don't get me wrong, I loved my SEs. I've come from the T610, to the K700 and finished up with the K750i. The K800 looks like a fantastic phone, and has great camera/flash/auto focus - but without the S60 OS it's just going to get left behind.
If you are looking to make calls, send txt, take pics then the K800 is fine. If you want a bit more from your phone then it's the N80 all the way.

i personally feel tht SE fones beat nokia in sound and camera departments... and tht the final product of SE fones are way better than nokia's .... nokia is user friendly no doubt but in the end u are the one who is going to use the product and thts where SE stands out...N80 might be having loads of stuff but compare the sound quality of it and K750 u will find tht the latter is way better...

The k800 takes som very good pictures, no doubt about that, but it think the N80 takes good pictures in daylight, and I thinkt that both the camera and video quality will only get better when more firmware updates are released! So the N80 has potential to become a very good camera phone, but it will always lack the auto focus that the k800 has, which makes the pictures more clear and sharp! It have tried to print out some photos taken with my N80 and they are actually very good, just like 'normal' pictures! :o)

Very nice comparison. A Must-read for someone exchanging your old camera and cell phone to buy an all-in-one device.

ofcourse the K800`s 3.2 cyber-shot is better!
but i don`t know why nokia cameras are darker indoors & brighter outdoors ???
even the mp4 video samples of the n80 introduced some freezes every some seconds, & thats wasn`t in the n70 !

If u r looking for quantity of features choose Nokia, and if u r looking for quality of features choose SE. SE give a limited features with excellent quality such good mp3 sound, good photos quality, got high speed response and good in battery consumption. Nokia give u tons of features, but not all this features is used and bad in it's quality

Both hp have little bit different in photos quality. But k800 have a bit better photos quality than N80.I have play N80 around, and it make me dissapointed about it menu response. it very slow while navigate it menu. with a lot of features u will pay for this reason. It's mp3 sound quality is worse compared to mine k750.I will upgrade my k750 to this k800 soon.

The N80 took very good photos in day light but at night the flash on the phone wasn"t that bright so images turned out not so clear, the shutter sound was very annoying but the Gallery viewing images an vidoes was superb to use an full screen was a good point but you couldn"t save the full screen image like you could do on the K750i,my N80 had problems i would take a photo an the phone would say memory full everytime so my N80 is going back to Orange

I have just upgraded from a K750i to a Nokia N80 in the last week. I have to say that it was a tough decision to go for the N80 or wait for the K800... Yes the N80 has a lot of other features that the K800 doesnt have (WiFi etc) BUT at the end of the day the N80 is a smartphone the k800 isnt! Having gotten into photography a little more with the K750, I do have to say that I am pretty dissapointed with the quality of the camera of the N80. I have been actively taking snaps over the last week, and have to say that 50% of them are generally not in focus! The ones that are, ARE REALLY good though.. Video is good on the N80, but what with all 'Out of Memory' bugs, I'm starting to think that the Nokia N80 is NOT the great handset that people (including myself) had hoped.. Yes the WiFi is a neat feature, but I have to say that its more of a gimmick, Would you really spend a lot of time surfing on it? I think not! I do like the smartphone functionality of the N80 - but I just dont think that the camera is up to the job (at least compaired to my K750i), and have to say that my Nokia N80 might just be going back to Orange - and I'll wait for the K800, or even N73 to come out...

I think the Nokia N range is superior to the Sony ericsson K range by all the feature and style.

Why not just buy an actual digital camera and get your money's worth. I'd rather have a camera that i can tinker with the focus and adjust everything else. Phone cameras are for fun not serious photography.

Just bought N80. Its so amazing. I love the design much better then k800, because of bigger screen, slide phone and just cooler. Just wish n80 could have a mirror behind, its not so good to take photos with the vga camera, but cool anyway. When im seeing this test, K800 wins with only 1% when its about the camera, and thats the difference between the camera. N80 takes a little dark photos, but its so much you can do with it. You can change so much how dark or bright the picture is gonan be. The + with K800 is that it has autofokus, and for me thats the only + from the camera and the color difference. Its not a big difference, and the blitz on N80 is very good, i love it. When it comes to video camera, N80 wins with 99% here. Its so much better. I was gonna buy SE K800, but when i saw this test, i went for N80 because of the video. The pictures N80 takes is really good, almost as good as K800. N80 is a smart telephone, wifi and much more that n73 dont even have:S N73 i think has a better camera then k800, Nokia is much better the SE. GO for Nokia N80 if you want a very good phone, good camera and video capturing. GO for SE K800 if you ONLY like camera.

I honestly think that N80 is better. video-shooting is more important than taking ordinary photos. And the lighting doesn't make a lot of difference anyway. 10x
