It's because of the smaller battery, same lousy battery life as the older G4 and G3.

LG's software is a mess. They deserve this if they don't clean up their shit.

G5 is a fail...modular is bull*it, people that buy a phone rarely wants to spend more money later buying modules. People that buy a phone, want everything that they deserve right in the start.
Plus, modules are too expensive. Design is pretty ugly etc There's your recipe for failure. Hope LG learns with that.

if G5 have the same design or updated from V10 i am sure it will sell more than this...but they made the wrong choise to put that ugly camera duo...and the biggest bezzels ever in the phone!
if V10 have an updated version i hope they come with SD820 or 823 and we will forget the G5 mistakes!
i love my V10, and i dont trade it for 10 or even 10000 G5's

The idea was good, but the execution was bad. Modularity can be good, but with little support and no promisses to maintain the format factor in the future it becomes very hard to sell. Advertising a metal body when there's no exposed metal is ignorant to the fact that the market likes exposed metal. Insisting on skinning android to look like iOS will convince neither apple lovers nor android lovers. And last but not least, the abomination that is the LG G5 SE with SD652 is a slap in the face of consumers. So no surprises when sales target aren't met.

Shame, I'm using one now and can say the G5 has a lot to offer as a 2016 flagship.
Yes the modular aspect is ultimately a failure, and does result in imperfections in the finish of the device.
But besides that one issue, the G5 stands very well in comparison to its competition.

I picked one up because of the replaceable battery.
It is one super fluid phone compared to the Samsungs I owned before however I haven't tried the S7 to compare. No lags whatsoever and amazing camera.
The battery life of mine sucks though, and so does the screen in sunlight in my opinion.
Other problem with LG is Brand recognition, hardly anyone even knows they exist in the smartphone arena. They need to up the marketing budget.
Overall I'm happy i got it, fix battery life and screen and it would have been the best.

I've just waited to change my LG G4 with the new LG G5. When I saw G5 I've just decided to keep my old version, at least for a while. Anyway, G5 is not an option for me. Sorry!

Not surprising. The g5 was a gamble that many people, me included, think is a complete miss. Lg lost it with this disappointing flagship.

I really like the LG 5, but after buying the flex 2 and not seeing any updates for it yet, I'll stick to nexus phones from LG.
