My friend just called me and said he spoke with Nokia today at 5pm and they said they only got the news today about the delay and its actually delayed now until 18 November for UK.
It would actually scare me to buy this item now as thats 6 full months they have recalled it back for more tests.
THIS PHONE MUST BE RIFE WITH FAULTS.
I am a massive Nokia fan before any of you start your moaning but I am not putting up with this nonsense from them anymore.
I will never buy another product from them after this carry on.
No wonders the ratings are now so low, I think people are just rating it low now because they are sick of being messed around by this company who used to have a good name.
My own opinion is that this phone has suffered a very similar fault to the Iphone4 with the signal issue because if you all remember this phone was ready to launch 3 days after IPHONE4 and then got pulled when all the signal issues came out.

y do people looking for 1ghz procesor on nokia s60 phones?
Nokia smartphone doesnt need dat,it will affect its battery life and faster processor needs enormous batter power..
If u dnt like this phone u cnt have iphone 4 and hundrds of android and wm phones that are out in the market,ur jaz jelous becoz this Phone can trampled ur current phone in term of features.
Im stl using n95 and till me wat iphone4 can do than n95 cant.nt jaz the retina display and my n95 lcd display

All of you wonder why nokia used a nhd resolution instead of retina or super amoled. Or higher resolution...... Because we know these phone screen look gorgeous in night ..but what about sunlight legibility...... Just take it in the sunlight and i bet you won't be able to read or see by covering the screen.... It will just act as mirror but with nokia great screen makes sunlight legible screen so that you get the best of both world...... We are no kids that we use it in our home only ..... We are men we love to out and this is where nhd kicks the ovi maps... Try on i phone4 or galaxy or nexus one if you coule see anything on the screen .... Even if u can see most chances are of colour fading.... So guys think practically not qualitatively.....

Nokia N8 already outdated, Nokia launched it way too late. Why would i buy this phone when already several 1GHZ processor phone out there

NOKIA are really a laughing stock right now the fact this phone should have been released in april this year.
I wanted this phone but will not be touching it until at least January/Feb because guaranteed it will have lots of faults mainly software on initial release.
Nokia must try remember Sony Ericsson had a 12megapixel camera with HD out 10 months ago so nothing is new here, that being said the Sony Vivaz was shocking poor in video quality and pictures so hopefully this will be better and also having HDMI connections.
I currently has the Galaxy S and really like it but no flash for pictures is very annoying and having no dedicated button for camera/video is also very annoying so I am still very temped in the N8.
Its a tough call for me to make as I think when I get bored with N8's main feature pics/videos then I will struggle as dont have high expectations of Symbian and think it will be very very boring.
I used to have the N900 which was a good phone in terms of hardware but NOKIA done there usual and stopped supporting it after 7 months so I dont have much confidence in them anymore as a company.

We in the U.k will not be getting the N8 delayed as i contact Nokia an told me its on it way to me in the next couple of days,so glad i pre-orded mine an now just so anxious an just dying to see if this mobile as been really worth waiting for,as for all the delays we have had

I'm based in the UK, and when I pre-ordered mine I had a shipment date of the 25th Sept in my confirmation e-mail!
Please don't tell me it's going to be delayed!! Time to ring them up!!

Release the bloody phones and by the way that pre order gimmick means that the phone still has flaws. We all know that I pity those who made pre orders.
Nokia should simply pray that the phone has no problems similar to that of iphone4, I want one too but I will wait for to see if the lab rats will scream for recalls

in fact what is with this hurry? mobiles come and go. nokia n70 wich i loved and expected so much was 600 euro...now is 50 euro. nokia n95,maybe the most awaited nokia ever was 650 euro... now is 80-100 euro if it is impecable. nokia n8 will be 600,400,200,50 euro like all. so wait

It's available for Rs. 25,000( confirmed )…actually It’s available in India for preorder for Rs.2500 and the phone will be available on Oct 10…if you dont book your phone till Oct 1st then you have to wait till December for the stock…confirmed
