Tablets are more resource-hungry, you can't "have them released" with lesser specs than phones. My Note tablet is still alive because it had flagship specs for its era (3GB of RAM, Snapdragon 800), if it was mid-range product it would long be dead.
Better up their game there. There is no decent android tablet for at least a year now (Pixel C is a mid-ranger too, apart from the GPU everything else is mid-range)... Xperia Z4 tablet was the last flagship grade tablet and it's more than a year old...

LG superfan, 19 Jul 2016I want a tablet with flagship specs sd820 or.exynos8890 wit... moreInternal memory should be flash not hdd. Also I don't see those specs ever happening because the tablet would end up being over $800 and the tablet market is pretty much dead.

I hope the aspect ratio is 16:10 with 2560x1600 resolution and that the cpu they will use is SD820 or something as fast. I wonder why others are commenting about camera on this tablet. Tablet should have a camera, but why the f would you go around taking pictures and doing videos on a tablet. It looks awkward af.

Only thing I'd really change about the S2 (aside from a slightly newer Exynos) is putting a decent camera in it.
Such a pain that in an otherwise great device, the camera absolutely sucks compared to even the low-mid range Samsung phones.
