Which company uses the DragonTrail glass by Asahi Glass Co. on it's phone? Anybody know? I think DragonTrail glass is comparable to Gorilla Glass by Corning, if not better...

And shatters when falling from 30 cm from your living room table to your carpet, also making touchscreen unusable.

I have mixed opinions regarding GG particularly their third iteration, my Nexus 5 screen shattered instantly after it slipped out of my pocket and landed face-down, but my OPO didn't albeit it was dropped from a much shorter height. However, I did drop it several more times over the years from a similar height range and it's still intact.

AnonD-292864, 21 Jul 2016Another lie from Corning. They say Gorilla Glass 4 is scrat... moreYou phones screen most likely got in contact with a sand particle "which is minute and hard to see", sand does scratch fortified glass like Gorilla glass or any brand of fortified glass, anything with a hardness over 9H will scratch it.

AnonD-292864, 21 Jul 2016Another lie from Corning. They say Gorilla Glass 4 is scrat... moreSince no material, diamond included, can be completely scratch *proof*, just like "stainless steel" can't be completely rust proof, it will reasonably have to be understood as something like "highly resistant in most cases", but the ad copy would become quite dull if it had to keep explaining kind of obvious stuff. I got a tiny, sharp object into my phone cover and, yes, it scratched my Gorilla Glass 2, but compared to the plastic used a few years earlier, it's a world of difference. With GG, I've had two scratches across three phones. Before, I could easily get two new scratches per day.

Internal component should be made tougher too, not only the glass.

Withstand 1.6m height drops a.k.a. selfie-height? You either very short or you took a very low-angle selfie. I guess its only work when you sit down only.

Apparently phones use these better screens to just reduce the thickness and negate the impact of the better screen half the time. Oh well, at least it means thinner phones or bigger battery.

hope the Note 7 contained the gorilla glass 5

Gorilla Glass really had their quality and advantage, from experiance the display will not affect by normal scratch etc.
