Before you say the galaxy pushes 4x pixels, let me answer you with this: I prefer lower resolution and a constant 60fps, than high resolution and choppy framerate, damn.

It pisses me off seeing these people saying that VR is just a gimmick and some even equals it with 3D TV, like, what!? Just how ignorant can someone be!? VR is the future that has arrived early and it has amazed literally every single one that has tried its latest version. I'm gonna guess that those people are Apple's loyal sheep, that would explain the unbelievable level of ignorance.

If you think that the entire input of the phone would be covered with the VR headset, you wouldn't have anything for the phone's VR than just videos and some honestly pretty useless games that it could run with it's limited hardware.
Now if it can act as a screen for a PC that's another story altogether. You'll have all the PC capabilities with the proper screen in the phone.

The answer to VR, IMO, is USB-C. Imagine a smartphone with 5.5" UHD display that runs the OS at FHD like the Z5 Premium with an advanced Gear VR headset/cradle that has a Thunderbolt 3-ready USB-C port so that the smartphone acts as a display for a PC powerful enough to run it at UHD or the smartphone can run some VR stuff on its own at FHD or QHD. There you have the best of both worlds.
