      LG makes OLED too i think though they dont have the capacities.

          The use of the abbreviation OLED instead of AMOLED in this thread is curious.

          l know that AMOLED is just a type of OLED (designed specifically for smartphones) with besacilly two extra features; touch screen capability plus energy saving efficiency.

          May I ask those know-it-all internet experts among you whether that energy saving efficiency bit reduces the contrast levels in an AMOLED compared to pure OLED, thus making AMOLED a somewhat compromised type of OLED ? Does anyone know ?

                          Xiaomi at their best

                            Xiaomi is a top notch company who cares about quality only, so I trust them completely about this decision, and choosing those two companies over Samsung for display panels is better anyway, because Samsung doesn't really make even half decent OLED panels.
