Anonymous, 30 Jul 2016You do that frequently..? Its not safe, electricity can act... moreEh? Well you're either smoking with Snoop Doggy Dogg or with Willie Nelson. Either way as long as the device is earthed you won't feel any static nor is there any risk of electrocution. Even if the device isn't properly earthed and your phone has static, it is highly improbable that earphones will electrocute you as most are made of plastics and the metal current carrying components do not touch skin.

As Apple fanboy I'm disappointed I was hoping for wireless headphones, if no wireless charging than I will seriously think again to upgrade from 6 to 7!

There's no real difference. usually you see in the dark if you have normal night vision. If you are in pitch black you have problems to plug either one :D

Good thing Apple removed the earphone jack as people tend to push safety to its limit by plugging in their earphone and charger at the same time... This way it reduces the risk of anyone getting electrocuted by their earphones when using it while charging their phones...

In the past, where feature phones only had a jack to either charge/synchronize or plug in the earphones, nobody has been killed by their earphones... Convenience and addiction can cost a life...

How to listen music or make calls using EarPods while we are charging the phone?

                            Current best solution we have:
Phone or any device with minijack convert digital signal, convert it to analog signal and send to headphones. Perfect way to listen to music because there are only two things in way: device it self and headphones, and Headphones can be used in any device, and for 100-200Euro you can buy headphones that will last few good years.

Solution that they force on us:
Phone that need to have lighting/usb-c connector send digital signal to headphones that using unknown chip, most likely cheap one convert it to analog signal and send to your ears. Most ldiotic way, that was created just to make money from selling converters and cables. Not only it can send worst quality signal because there is no way they could put good hardware in those headphones(they need to mass produce it so they cut cost and use brand to advert is as a "premium"). Not compatible with anything beside specific phones. price? hilarious high compared to normal headphones that you can buy and use anywhere.

And using adapters? they are annoyign easy to damage, because of size and thick cable, and they send actually worst sound quality not only because of conversion but because of amount of places where is can be disturbed(cable connectors, plugs, and short adapter cable that ALWAYS, and i mean ALWAYS bend in weird ways because of that length)

So yeah, thanks every company for such amazing technology.... you seriously have no idea how evolution work(tip: its about keeping something that work, and removing something that doesnt work, and minijack work perfectly)

Isn't putting in something round much much much easier than putting in something flat like typeC or lightning? Don't agree? Okay.. turn off your lights and now try plugging in a 3.5mm earphone as well as a charger and see which one is easier.

Why the hell would we be adopting something thats harder to put in everytime than what is already being used everywhere?

Ok. I understand. Better power, better amp, better sound quality. But really how much of it can our naked ears differenciate?

Remember those feature phones, that used to come with only one microusb port to charge as well as earphone? Are we moving back in time?

I doubt that you will be able to hear the difference from these ports on these headphones.
