Bloody Samsung !!! I was ready to buy Note 7 to replace my Note 3, but I hate curved screens, Note 5 is available only in 32gb where I am, Note 4 is now too old on the market.
Which galaxy note can I meaningfully upgrade to now ???

HDR is completely useless lol, the display already has a huge contrast ratio and there is virtually no content out there. Nice marketing ploy, Sammy.

Had thus come with 128gb internally I wouldn't mind so much but all they ever seem to do is set expectations around storage that amount to nothing. I will still be stuck with not enough internal storage and SD cards and I bet they still don't support UHS II SD cards.

Same soc as S7. But hell yeah the screen is HDR compatible plus the gorilla glass 5 and twice the pressure sensitivity! And i love the new UX.

No UFS micro sd support
No 6 gb ram
No 4000 mah battery
samsung need to understand a lesson from its mistakes
3500 mah battery seriously samsung 100 mah less than 5.5 inch s7 edge
4 gb ram again same as note 5 s7 s7 edge and s6 edge plus while many companies starting 6 gb ram phones
dont give me "it support upto 256 gb micro sd cards" argument
my note 4 (when it launched) said to support 64 gb micro sd cards but when 128 gb came out i bought one and it worked fine then 200 gb comes i bought one of them as well and it still working perfectly and as long as it seems i will use my beloved note 4 one more year with 256 gb micro sd card

They surely can implement these things, they don't want to. And You buy Samsung, you buy high quality build and can relate on the phone. Not like cheap chinese brands that would brake easily and very very often.
LG is always behind in terms of specs. Sony, I agree, is great. Like Samsung my fav brand, as well overpriced tho, but this is what beautiful design costs. :)

And I don't know if you know, but the Snapdragon 820 and 821 are made by Samsung, in it's own 14nm FinFET process.

It was nearly just a concept, if not already a work in progress, around the time the article about it was published. I knew Samsung could not get that jammed into their Note7 in time. Ever since the UFS articles were uploaded, I was already assuming that they may have started the Note7's production before today's unveiling as there was also an article I've read that they were going to release the product the same time as their announcement. Although, as it turned out pre-order date only starts tomorrow. It was just too late for Samsung to include UFS if they are to meet production and shipment orders by the millions

Samsung produce the 8893 themselves. I can see no reason they couldn't at least get to the 8893 even if not the 821 which they don't make themselves. Although if Asus can manage it why not Samsung? I think the answer is they are lazy and complacent The Asus like the ZTE Axon 7 comes with more than just 64gb. Samsung seemingly cannot even produce readers in their own phones for their own UFS cards. Pathetic given they cannot even be bothered to provide a 128gb version. Obviously the talk of 256gb UFS storage was just that yet aging. No point in boasting about 256gb storage chips if you then don't put them in anything.
