Not so much improvement in hardware.
That should not be an issue if the device performs well. But the prices should be reasonable.

TBH, it feels underwhelming.
Samsung does a good job developing a solid device but brings nothing novel onto the table except perhaps the iris scanner.
It's as if they could just stay with a Note 6 name instead of going for a leap to Note 7.

No mention of EU or UK official sales date or does the previous rumor of August 16 for EU hangs about?

I was correct. Samsung cannot even get their own most powerful CPU in to their own phone. Pathetic!
No 128gb version. There's a surprise! All the talk of UFS storage and 256 chips and this phone has precisely nothing beyond the 64gb. Pathetic Samsung seem great at announcing things that in reality amount to nothing!
No access to UFS cards. Such a great idea bringing announcing them for no readers to follow. Pathetic.
Battery is smaller than the S7 Edge. Pathetic!
What precisely is the screen size without the edges? Is it the same as the S6 Edge plus or bigger. The S6 Edge plus screen was horizontally shorter than the Note 4. Is this one the same or smaller like the S6 Edge plus?

Yeah, pretty much everything that was stated in the leaks. Really lackluster in terms of the 6GB RAM and 4000mah battery rumours which were false. Will go for the S7 I guess and will see what happens with the LG V20.

So nothing special, 4GB RAM only, old processor, no point in upgrading my S6 Edge+ yet. Gonna wait till next summer, when buying a new phone makes sense, this one isn't any better than Edge+.

SD821 and 6GB of RAM would have been nice and made the phone even more future proof, but even with the current SD820/4GB RAM combo it's just enough. I would have liked a bigger battery though, going smaller than S7 Edge doesn't seem like a great idea. It might score the same or even better battery runtimes though, that depends on what optimisations Samsung made. Looks like there isn't a flat screen option, I don't mind. I'm curious if this one has an IR port and FM radio. Gorilla Glass 5 seems promising. Job partly-well done, Samsung.

There is really nothing to be impressed with Note 7. I wouldn't upgrade from a Note 5. Waiting for the LG V20...

Wow. The unpacked event just began. They are still talking about the olympics while GSMarena has already announced the Note 7.

Lack of 6GB is why rumor sites can do great harm. If they don't have evidence, they should not publish, as it creates a disappointment, and is not the manufacturers fault for any high expectations set by the rumors.
