I'd really like that the gizmodo and engadget guys look over this page, and see that w're not blind when you don;t do things on a clear way.
for them apple is their religion and steve jobs is their god, i'm not saying nokia's N8 it's better or backwards, but if you want to make statements, MAKE THEM CLEAR, because we're not blind and we can see when you guys are talking tons of sh...
I've used nokia since their very beggining, italways had they'e bad points and they're good points, but they always sell you the real things, they don't hypnotize you with gadgets on a month and over the another annoucing that the next one we shall annouce the successor with all the fixed errors that from the very beggining it should be corrected.
N8 it's a promising phone, i don't know if i'll buy it, but what i know is that i won't influenced by these guys and that i'll wait for the proper updates and release and development of ovi and symbian.

Check out some of the first few seconds.

The camera has really a cover, but for the important inner parts. Just the outer glass has no cover, but for the sensor itself it's covered maybe to not deal with light when not in use, to be honest I don't know if this thing in other phones so am not comparing!
Check how this is a real lens while it's coming in and out of it's place, this is a real camera!!!

was a nokia fan ever since they came out...
my current phone is an N97...been disapointed for its slow
reaction times and occational freezing.
i think symbian has been out for too long...
its getting really boring, its good in a way where
my grandpa can still fiddle around with it but for me..its getting
too old.
hence i started to research other brands and found myself a favorite.
(never iphones coz i hate proprietorship...its not even compatible with other phones but themselves. what a pity)
i stumbled upon this amazing phone....check it out.

this is gonna be my next phone.

i personally think it "fear factor"...for once in a long time nokia has gotten it right...engadget was the worse of the bunch as they basically "rigged" the outcome...(cropped the n8's photos down thus losing detail...a simple google search would show many blogs showing this up) i personally think that it a fear factor..nokia has delivered a device that does what it was said to do...and its fast and impressive...agreed its not flawless....but its the best of the best imho right now...(for my needs)

I think this phone is superior to iPhone 4 even when we disregard the best camera module. The only thing iPhone is going for it is homescreen transitions REVOLUTIONARY INNOVATION. Galaxy S is the plastic toy in comparison to N8 - tank!!!

And something more:
What means that Nokia needs faster processor ?! Does anybody from you Nokia haters, understands the meaning of processor, a RISC processor ?!
I'm using Nokia since 10 years and I heard a lot about the software from people that really do not understand what the software is in fact!
Making and using software are 2 completely different things.
I'm driving a car but I do not know how to make a car, and you ?

The problem is that the bad reviews are mainly coming from US sites, sites that dont understand Symbian handsets.
The US have no time for anything thats not 1Ghz, not iPhone and does not do things for them without them having to use the brain.

Nokia is really verry reliable as opposed to Samsung and LG.
the only phone that comes close is Sony Ericsson.
Nokia has the best camera, free GPS and offers adequate support

I've owned Nokias for years and found them THE most reliable phone ever. I've tried Samsung and LG too, but they were returned as were rubbish and to be honest have put me off those makes.
I liked the look of the N8 from the beginning so popped into my local CPW to have a look as I'm due an upgrade. I was told by the lass in CPW to wait for the N8 as the staff had preview and tested it and loved it! she said it's worth waiting for, so, so far that's good enough for me.

[deleted post]Sure, the CPU in the N8 is crap, but its GPU is a crown jewel. Benchmarks are always more reliable than companies' numbers.

Hi all, GSMArena ur amazing for showing the truth rather than doing as those American websites do, this website is the most truthful when it comes to phones and testing them in reliability and usefulness.
"In my opinion" i have tested everything out there, and certainly the whirlwind of this new phone craziness is so bad that it only took 5 years, but still while getting lost in it and trying many phones and new operating systems, nothing is reliable as a Nokia, and still today im using a Nexus one, but once the N8 comes to our country then this device will go to drawer, still while using the nexus one i do use a Nokia e72 which has my primary number, why ? because its much more reliable than any device out there and has potential that people don't find out, oh and yes Iphone is just fancy and made for looks more than usefulness, there is no comparison between these phones, Iphone just goes through the dumpster for me. Oh and yes i tries iOS, ill say its nice looking but thats it, and good for wasting time.
American ways of ruining other companies goes beyond what people might imagine, so unless u test something for urself, never trust American companies and certainly don't do business with them.
Go Japan, and Go people who still put their soul in what they make and think about the user himself.
Anybody who wants to buy the Nokia N8, ill tell u dont listen to any body and buy it, its amazing, useful, can make calls, and does everything that should be done in each day of our lives.

Suffice to say that I was doing things with my Nokia in 2007 (as were my sisters with their Sony Ericssons) that iPhone still can't do today.
One thing that Apple did very, very right was the App Store - in particular how easy and cheap it is to create and publish software.
Hardware; PC software; adherence to non-proprietary standards - N8 >>> iPhone4
