Well as you said everybody is more than willing to post their opinion in a nice way.
I think any decent user should use these reviews only as an opinion. An opinion you can agree with or disagree with. The final decision lies with the reader after some time with the actual device or perhaps do a meta-read and then decide.

i am starting to believe mass net media are not being brought by certain tech companies so they would write up bad reviews for rival products. One thing N8 would never fail on is the camera.
As any one with decent tech/maths knowledge should know very well, a 12mega pixel 1/1.8" inch sensor is way way better than 5 mega pixel 1/3.2" sensor.

guys, vlad savov who made the engadget camera comparison said in twitter that he was surprised that ppl thought iphone 4 pics were better cus in his eyes N8 pics r better! you can check his twitter.i think there is some kind of a big misunderstanding here.maybe gsmarena should point that out or something.in other words, engadget thinks that N8 pics are better than iphone 4 pics.

well, no matter what the case is. I still lookup to you gsmarena guys for being able to be so humble about the situation. That's one thing not many other corporations can do(Apple, to be particular).

Perhaps it is a trend for the mobile world; those mobile phone manufacturer, who can't full fill the demands of the users will fall out from the market, even it is one of the pioneer in the industry. Yet, some of the users who are loyal to certain 'ideal' mobile phone, indirectly feel bias towards other mobile phone.
In my opinion, every mobile phone has its weaknesses. Example for iPhone 4, its new function like Face Time isn't practical as it required both users to have iPhone 4 to launch this so-called Face Time, which is the other define for 3G calls. Another example for BlackBerry phone, which is absolutely great for business and management task mobile phone. However when it comes to entertainment, does it able to compete with iPhone, or even the latest Nokia N8?
As a mobile phone gadget lover, I have owned and used countless mobile phones. And to be frank, each mobile phone had pleased me on what I needed the most on its functions and purposes. It doesn't mean that those mobile phone are the best, still they are the best fit on my usage, as well as the trend of mobile world.
"Be fair, let our comments or criticisms be some positive commitment to the mobile phone industries. The commitment is motivation for our better future in supporting our needs of mobile phone."

For a change I would like to see more detail on the phone working as a phone. Reception across different areas and bands 2g, 3g etc. Clarity of the call on both ends, loudness of the received call, Video call performance and ease of operation. Things about using the phone as a phone.....

AGREE!!! it's been a long time since Nokia launched good phone like this, and they get a chance to improve themselves...
btw nokia is also working hard to improve their app store by opening some competition... and also angry birds game will appear on appstore for N8...

Wow, well put guys. Clearly the person using the N8 from Engadget was using the camera shutter button to take photos and doesn't know how to keep the phone steady. They should have simply used the camera control on the display.

I think we have to give a chance for this cell, the technical evaluation process should be made with more time and more experience may be We will have a good or deep evaluation of all of features of this cell in 1 or 3 months.

No phone brand is perfect. We have our own phones that we have, get used to and love. Let's be fair. Sometimes what's happening is only unjust criticisms and prejudice. Everyone is free to hate anything but it's n0t t0lerable to disgrace and humiliate. Remember in a c0mpetiti0n, one tries to get over an0ther. It's the usual practice, put d0wn c0mpetit0rs yet with judicious and reas0nable claim over an0ther.

You are praising the iPhone just because of its brand, not by what it is. You feel the need to have an Apple product just because it is in fashion, where everybody says that having an Apple product is "cool." One of these days Steve Jobs began selling pieces of wood with the Apple symbol and you will all go rushing to buy one. I am even seeing "iWood, with functions that do not determine the quality of the product and you only serve to discriminate against other brands. The iPhone is not the best and will not be applications that will make him the best.
