Of course, it best to prevent accidents, but I don't think anyone needs to be overloading their devices with spyware detection, malware detection, etc. Rather just read up on how to do basic protection against attacks.

People definitely shouldn't be embarrassing themselves with statements like "my phone's more secure than your". lol

AnonD-5197, 09 Aug 2016You're jumping to conclusions. All my other related posts w... moreTrue.

In fact Android doesn't have any major problems with the OS itself (or the support Google and the many contributors give to it's code), what truly hinders it is the lack of support after most manufacturers put it in a device.

All systems will inevitably have some bug that will lead to some security exploit -- that's not really "a negative" of any system -- what really matters is how things are handled after that.

Regardless of the system, the moment a CVE is left unpatched (particularly those that allow RCE or PE) we are calling upon ourselves a whole world of hurt. Google usually does it's job well patching this bugs/vulnerabilities, but things are broken after that (ie. most devices don't actually get the patch at all).

As weird as it may sound Android isn't broken but actually... it is. Something must be made to patch all devices as quickly as possible. The different patch levels of the Nexus Security Bulletin already show some promise in this regard, but (at the moment) most are still in a not so good place.

It seems we got off from the topic, but as a pc enthusiast I'll reply to your comments.
The specs are depends on the purpose of your pc and more importantly your budget, my friend. If you were unable to afford it, I suggest you lower the specs within your budget.. I can recommend cheap Intel Xeon E3-1200 V5 with C236 motherboard (don't use C232 chipset), 4x 8GB ddr4ram, and GTX 1070 or 1080 if you need vga card that quite equivalent with professional-grade like quadro, buy the latest TitanX (pascal) it's whopping expensive at $1200 but still far cheaper than cheapest nvidia quadro while still powerful enough. Use ssd as your system drive, and hdd as your data storage. For more information, go to a tech forum, ask them, they will help you and give advise to your needs.

Hackers will find a hole and the security team will patch it. And the cycle goes on. Most of the time it's the good hackers(hired by security companies) found the weakness and they will report and keep it a secret from public until it is patched as per the news article. The only danger is when a bad hacker found an exploit."

Many people forget that and that's how many sites trick users, they force download apk and then users accidentally click and install them.

Which allowed hackers to guess, what password would be.

Meanwhile iCloud allowed unlimited attempts for login, so hacker could use "brute-force" Attack.
And Apple hasn't enabled two step authorization by default.

So it's partly Apple's responsibility too. Celebs can be dumb and use short password with personal information (using BF's name as password, for example) but I think it's being idiotproof , what made iOS so popular and apple should have thought about this type of attack before.
