Nearly a billion Android devices affected by newly-discovered 'QuadRooter'

The flaw, which is basically a set of four vulnerabilities, affects Android phone and tablets powered by Qualcomm chipsets.

    a fake story can sound more interesting but it was just stupid celebs a few of them who got tricked into giving their passwords.
    same way some dumb people get their bank accounts hacked by giving their passwords in a fake email

            their photos werent hacked. they were tricked into sending their icloud passwords through a fake email.
            proper sheep, one droidsheep mentions false story and the rest of sheep jump on fake bandwagon.

This has nothing to do with popularity, this has everything to do with money;). They infect what is vulnerable,now, the majority of the infected are useless to them. But, their are some people who will bring them money. Only some;). And then again, their are windows mobile users that can bring them money and are easier to target cause this phones are way less then android flood. So, apparently, you're not right;).

                          Hackers gonna hack, known CVEs that detail how to bypass system-wide permission are GOLD. There is no shortage of gold in Android... so much that even a half-decent hacker will do its job without you ever knowing whats happened -- that's the reality when you don't patch critical vulnerabilities.
