MediaTek Helio X30 chipset announced: 10nm, two more A73 cores

09 August, 2016
The chipset will share many similarities with Apple's chipset for 2017 - same 10nm TSMC process, similar GPU.

it seems some people will allways go with their wrong plans untill they are ruined , the fact that x20 / 25 are only chips with 10 cores and apple dual core and now qualcom quad cores proves to be more efficient , why the still think they need to use 3 core clusters instead of 2 , if they used dual core A73 2,5 ghz + dual A72 or A73 or even A53 would make more sense and would be more power efficient and even make room for the faster GPU and wont over heat ........... what i hate is the fact that they use cpu composition different than every one and their chips isnt making much popularity makes them more ignored and higher chance to be left behind with no more room or plan to optimize things to work properly and they dnt release their kernels that easy either ...... hope they have plans to release chips with less clusters, i am okay with 8 cores chip as long as its 2 x quad core not 2xdual core + quad core .

Man look at all those cores and the frequency they run of. Demanding tasks on this chip set should be breezy and it will be super harsh on battery.

I did see that its built on a 10nm process at least but one cannot stop worrying. Rushed technology is always the problematic that's why others capitalise on others innovations and cash up on it because while others rush to release some are taking their time to perfect.

Previously were used A72 cores not A73. A72 cores are less power efficient and less powerful in general. Don't confuse them. 30% more performance and also 30% more power efficiency compared to A72.
Edit: I noticed that you also wrote two 2.0GHz A35 cores as A53. Please read before the source clearly before you write your posts gsmarena. It's the same as with xiaomi redmi pro. You wrote 3 cpu versions out of nowhere when there was only 2. Core designs matter a lot because helio x30 is going to be very efficient. You give people a bad idea about this processor.
2nd edit: To those who say this will be super harsh on battery please learn what cores are used on this chipset. Don't write this is that and that before you do your research.

Design by specs, aka a perfect mess.
No one will believe those last cores are there to save power when they are clocked at 2GHz (9% less than the other A53 cores). But people will buy this, because it has 10 cores...

MediaTek thinks .... customers are idiots. After ONE YEAR, the other companies have died ?
