Well, following are few pics those I clicked in the morning with the official release of froyo 2.2.

Apparently, the image quality has improved a little bit. Overall, a bad build, however.

Official Froyo 2.2 is still not perfected.

It's best for us to have a little more patience and update our Galaxy S to Froyo by December or last week of November.

I have a strong belief no more issues for Froyo during this period.
Why? because this is the period when all mobile manufacturers are competing for sales on the holidays. This the time where they will try to make their software at its best to gain more market share.

Iphone4 vs Samsung Galaxy S vs Nokia N8 vs HTC Desire HD
..along with the newly released W7 mobiles.

"Better late but happy rather than early but frowny"..lol

OK, I just found out that this is actually some f... OTA update not froyo...When froyo is coming? And the only difference I found so far is that my phone is much more difficult to unlock. I need to swipe twice as much then before...I am getting pissed off!

OK. I just received an update from Tmobile for my Vibrant and I was so happy...It said it will take 10 min. while I won't be able to make calls even an emergency one and then it will turn on automatically. And now I don't see anything changed and it is the old version of android 2.1..Someone experiance the same thing?

I totally agree, and that's the reason why I believe that apple still has the upper edge, although I'm in the same boat because I'm an android lover and an apple hater, but what can I say! Fact is fact man.

Android are really shooting themselves in the foot if they really just don't care what and how manufacturers are delivering to their customers with android. It's pity that we have to deal with so many lag-fixes/mods/and-what-not, only to get out of our units, which they have potential of. Most of the time we use, not to use our phone as a phone, but to find fixes/mods to keep it running atleast like a phone. It sucks ! Google need to think over this seriously !

Mr Happy, 17 Oct 2010http://www.careace.net/2010/10/15/galaxy-s-froyo-2-2-update... moreBtw, I updated to 2.2 and I have had NO LAG PROBLEMS..or any of the fabled others like Vibration problems associated with Swype. Even 'Market' works fine.

I was running JPC (Froyo beta) before this. Maybe I have no problems because of that?? IDK. All I know is, I am now a Samsung lover!!

This thing is blazingly fast..compared to before (even compared to the stock 2.1 that I bought it with)

                              "Known issues in 2.0.0

Some devices with heavy carrier customization cannot install EXT2 Tools. Fix should be in the next version, if possible.

On Froyo (Android 2.2) this lag fix will refuse to install if the apps2sd feature is in use. The error you will see if Apps2SD is in use on installation will be that the loopback cannot be mounted.
Workaround: In order to install the lagfix on froyo, you will need to set each app that is on the external SD back to regular. Once the lagfix is installed, you can move apps back to the SD.
Fix should be included in the next version, if possible.

If you use up more space inside the EXT2 than is available outside the EXT2, you will have to remove apps/delete data until you have enough space to copy your data back when you want to uninstall. To help avoid this, don't set the space bar all the way on the far right."
