Look in XDA forum. There is a lot abaut lagfixing. if you upgrade with some modified rom then phone is working perfectly

i just update my phone today, the update is not 2.2 but new unlock way and task manager is added to save your battery life. and music player has a new look, the lag is reduce by 12 percent.no flash 10.1 yet.

Look man no offense but you seem an expert and your doing a lot of things to make your sgs work perfect. Most of us are not in the same boat and most users are in the average Joe area and yes they are suffering! So don't talk very confident that everything is easy and seems perfect because this may be misleading to others.
I totally appreciate that your trying to give a hand for most of us, but still keep in mind that many people are not enjoying their sgs the same way you are.

Yes se still have issues, but is there any manufacture th... moreagreed the cam is far superior on the x10, but i got the sgs for android use and the x10 has only just got eclair were the froyo is were i'm at now,
sgs is not perfect and kies is the worst sw tool, but as a package the I prefer the sgs over the x10 any day,

Yes se still have issues, but is there any manufacture thats perfect?! But at least se fixs their bugs when they find them, unlike samsung that takes ages to figure them out, with their outdated kies application.
Enjoy your shit*y 5 mp camera with no flash, while se japan just announced a 1 ghz android cybershot that captures 16.2 mp !! Yes you read it right mr buggy laggy samsung.

I like the google services that are available and thats why i didnt get iPhone so if you really want to get android based phone, wait for Desire HD because it seems like HTC are most reliable android based phones around. Super AMOLED screen are good and all but it no good if it is this laggy. and also the build is bad. its been less than 6 months and its starting to creak everywhere.

welll...i got the ATT Froyo...it was leaked a couple weeks ago. and so far my captivate running 2.1 with root/speedhack was faster in my opinon...still gotta root and do speedhack again cus the quadrant score is only at 900ish compared to my eclair running 2250benchmarks.

May be my next phone will be iPhone. I'm already tired changing my phone after every six months. Enough with android I feel. Lets see how it unfolds for me after my sgs. But iPhone seems to be a very natural choice here. I strongly feel google are digging their grave this way. Afterall I moved on to android just to use google services, not to get harrassed and have such bad experience with the unit where I have to wait 30 mins just to get a single gps lock. Lots of fragmentation, no control over manufacturers. Perhaps this is what we call open source. Sad!

Flash 10.1 works perfectly for me, I even streamed a full-length movie yesterday without any problem or lag at all.

I clicked those with bare default settings. Just after the fresh flash, so no extra settings or app was used. Earlier those I clicked indoors (with the 2.1 rom) used to be somehow blurry and dull. These look good and more detailed, though. May be because of the good light conditions or the latest rom. Not sure!

TC, 18 Oct 2010Samsung makes to many phones and do not even care about sup... moreNokia is not an option at all for me anymore because they are even slower than SonyEricsson and are still using the outdated Symbian on their phones, and instead of using Android they try to make their own os based on linux, MeeGo. If Nokia wake up and start using Android and make all developers of apps and games focus on AndroidMarket then all customers would be winners.
If HTC would bother to fix their 3G recievers, that "go to sleep" for a minute far to often and makes the user blame bad network while the real problem actually is their HTC-phone wich HTC still have not accepted as an actual problem worth their effort to fox, then I would dare to buy future phones from HTC. Desire Z looks great but I do not dare buy it because HTC have not even admitted that they actually have any connectionproblems. IPhone4 get dropped calls, but HTC Desire get dropped 3G-connections.

I have now had the Froyo on my samsung Galaxy S for over 24 hours.
The flash 10.1 support is not worth anything. I have already unchecked plugins to get rid of it. It SLOWS down browsing the internet sites so much it is practically nothing worth. And if flash videoclip is played it also is not smooth and not worth using it and slowing down browsing. All in all i have the feeling it is not so smooth an experience after i have upgraded and all the rumors about much faster phone is just not truth. If I knew what I got with this upgrade I would not have upgraded.

Produkt End-of-Life, 17 Oct 2010For those who missed the info, the production of Galaxy S a... moreSamsung makes to many phones and do not even care about support and good sotfware-updates for those who have already bought a Samsung-phone, they did not even bother to really try and fix all problems with Galaxy S by removing rfs. They have probably already moved their best programmers to newer phones. Th only improvement we really gog with the official update was stereo FM-radio and Adobe flash 10.1 in the browser.
Android is a good OS but Samsung have to bad support and software-updates/fixes, and HTC-phones have problems with the ability to keep a stable 3G-connection, and SonyEricsson simply produce outdated products because their programmers are to slow and give us Android-versions the are more than a year old and several versions behind latset Andtoid-versions and when X10 maybe get Froyo customers have already upgraded to newer phones.
This is why I am seriously considering IPhone because even though it is more expensive it still gives more value for the money and the phone does not become outdated after just a few months because Apple focus more on support and softwareupdates for existing customers rather than producing completely new phones every month like Samsung does.

For those who missed the info, the production of Galaxy S and Wave stopped permanently. In December no more shipments.
There is no reason for Samsung to invest in firmware improvement for the deprecated product.
