Jovan, 25 Aug 2016Ok, my bad, so it's about the weight. But first you said yo... moreI own the technology so I know what I am talking about here. Not a hater - who would simply bash anything without even owing the same. So stop calling me a hater and stop acting like a smart a$$!!
Just that to me it is not mature enough in its current form yet for me to embrace it fully. I do give visits to my VR box occassionaly, which is eating dust in some corner, otherwise.
Peace

But first you said you don't like it because it's "kilos in weight" yet after I made clear that the Gear VR and a Note7 inside doesn't even weigh half a kilo now you can only accept it if it's only weighing like a shade?? hahaha funny guy you are. I think you're just being the typical hater. For a normal guy, the small 400 or so grams on his face would feel like it's weightless once he's immersed in the VR world. The reviews don't lie. Countless YouTube reaction videos don't lie. And haters gonna hate and miss out on a lot of the amazing experience. But hey, good luck waiting on that shade like VR glasses. We'd definitely get there, I'd say in like five to ten years from now. ;)

In an ideal world I would have the design of the Samsung S7, the size of the Samsung Note 7 (grown accustom to the size of my iPhone 6+ & not interested in the Egde technology), camera of the S7, customisation of Android, screen from Samsung & the internals of the iPhone.
As much as I love my iPhone, to me, the internals of the Samsung are not there yet. I may wait 6 months to upgrade & see what happens with the Note 7. Samsung could very well update the software & right the wrongs, who know, but for a buttery smooth & lag free performance I am sticking with iPhone........for now.

A stupid comparison... iPhone6S the out-dated technology no needed more RAM's versus Samsung Note7 the updated technology stuff that needs more RAM's

Jovan, 25 Aug 2016You're comparing the Gear VR and a cardboard viewer? Lol So... moreNope! Im comparing only the overhead (the weights) and not the capabilities of them both. Its obvious that the cardboard will be wayy more underpowered than the Gear one. Now only what is hilarious is that you are not getting my point!
I agree with you on the transportation and stuff but still I have found the in-phone experience to be not very much there (heating, pixelation, weight, safety, dedicated content and what not!). May be dedicated VR headsets can provide lot more but for me wearing anything weighing more than a shade will always be a hassle. VR are good but only for occasional use. AR is a real step forward combining computer generated objects with the real world environment. And who told you that gaming is not possible on AR? Go and search Microsoft HoloLens if you are not aware!

It's like comparing an entry level China phone with a flagship Samsung phone! :D Now that is silly. And VR ARE suppose to disconnect you from the real world. That's kinda the point of it you know? The more immersed you are in VR, the more you feel like you're in another reality experiencing a feel of presence in that other world the more successful the VR is. AR has a different purpose. AR is also great and has awesome potentials, but it will never transport people's consciousness to another world. One small example, you can't experience virtual tour in Japan or in Africa using AR. And you can't fly spaceship shooting at aliens using AR. Those can only be done with VR. VR is awesome and only blind haters can't see it.

Jovan, 25 Aug 2016"kilos of weight strapped to his head"? Lol You apple fanat... moreI own the "basic" (read: way more lighter) the cardboard version. Its cool and all. Love the immersive experience on it especially with planetary simulation apps. However, cant stand it for more than an hour on my head! Not to mention I am completely disconnected with the outside "real" world while during using this. Its like being under water with no sound or vision from outside. Weird if you ask me! Again, AR has got the real feature!
And dont call me apple fanatic without even knowing me and dont LOL on every reply coz you sound silly!
Peace :)

Anonymous, 24 Aug 2016vr is just still a gimmick for now but will improve with te... moreLol There's not a single major trustworthy online reviewer use the word "gimmick" even once when talking about the Samsung Gear VR, because it's really NOT. And although people can still see pixels in using Gear VR when they really try to, none of the reviewers think that it really damage the immersive experience to the extent that people can't enjoy it and be amazed by the experience, and people are even watching hours and hours of movies in the virtual theatre and play games! Unlike you of course, an obvious Samsung hater and an iFanatic. Lol O and headaches are really rare when using the Gear VR since it has its own sensors to track head movements and the display is always a Super AMOLED type to ensure the smooth image transition in VR. But you ifanatics just have to try really hard to discredit this amazing tech haven't you? That is until Apple have their own VR device in like 2018? Lol

Lol You apple fanatics need to get out of your icave more rather than spreading dumb lies and idiotic comments! The Samsung Gear VR with the Note7 inside of it weight only 481 grams and that doesn't even equates to half a kilo! Lol And every major and trustworthy online reviewer has never considered the Gear VR's weight to be a deal breaker even since the first edition. And AR can not do what VR does! VR transport people to another world while AR only adds virtual layer to reality. Both have bright future! It's really cute when Apple fanatics are trying to sound smart and relevant. lol

Vikul, 24 Aug 2016Ok your Pixal question is ok, then what about half RAM and ... moreLOL look why iPad pro has 4GB RAM, Resolution takes a big responsible for the overall performance of the system smoothness, no matters how many RAM or core the hardware has. Did you know how RAM works or what its job? RAM doesn't boost performance, it just holds certain task or software depending on their size. Even if Note7 has 2GB RAM and set its CPU clock to much with iPhone its current performance won't change even if you able to triple or quadrople its RAM and CPU. This test is a joke! the resolution on iPhone is almost close to galaxy S2, They must be wait for Apple to ever produce an QHD screen before ever comparing it to the Note7 because its not comperable yet or just set the note7 to lower resolution and that feature is available to it and no other has.

AnonD-11127, 24 Aug 2016The iPhones will always beat Android in similar tests. It's... moreWell your fact about the battery life on the iphone is untrue. Where I work I am the only Android user (Old Xperia Z) the rest are on iphones. We use our phones similarly everyday but all the iphone users all have their phones constantly connected to their computers for charging because their battery life aint good. My old Z keeps going for nearly 2 days I rarely have to charge it at work. Do the maths, Apples battery saving tech still lags behind Android.......
