t2 years ago iphones didn't need more ram but that was then. technonlogy keeps advancing and apple will add more ram to keep thingsa super smooth. they don't need unnecessary ram like 6gb or 8 gb. android does need more and it still isn't smooth unless its a flagship phone then it will stay smooth for several months.

Who wouldn't want to make the 5" screen of their phones turn into an 80" movie theater screen to watch films or netflix or play games so immersive that they make them feel like they're on another world? You think a 720p screen of iPhone 6s can even come close? You need to get out of your cave now. lol

The iPhones will always beat Android in similar tests. It's no surprise.
It's to do with how both the platforms work. iOS has a very limited multitasking support. Apps are extremely restricted while in bg. Android on the other hand let apps run unrestricted in background.
This would mean Android apps use lot more of resource.
It depends on what the end user wants. For a person like me who uses Xposed framework to let YouTube play as a pop up window when minimised, have torrent and multimedia downloads going on with download managers, having active clipboard manager, etc. will feel locked down with iOS' restriction.
But for an average user, iOS gives you the best compromise of power, battery life and aesthetics once you're willing to pay the price.
This test can be repeated every year and the results will most probably be the same.

apple 6s has only 2 GB ram and note 7 has 4 GB.
Apples has only 2 Cores and samsung has 8 cores.

I would not be surprised if the iPhone beats my nexus 6P in the same test. Resolution apart, nothing can be as smooth silk and faster as it is on an iPhone. I am a long time android user and I know what I am talking here.
