Samsung Galaxy Note7 loses to year old iPhone 6s in speed test

23 August, 2016
Despite being a year old, the iPhone 6s is known to hold its own against more modern devices in speed tests. This is in no small parts due to Apple's software optimization, the performance of the A9 chip, and incredibly quick NVMe storage. But how does it fare against the brand new Galaxy Note7?

Both phones have different type of operating system, one is implemented and onother one is properly integrated.
So these things does not matter at least today, people buy mobile phones rather then the operating systems.
People demand features and note 7 have all of them which are enough for the user of today and iphone still lags on this department.
But the new iPhone is coming and let's see what apple brings to the new iPhone..

Also, are you still in 2014? Battery life, camera quality, and display had already been addressed by last year's Nexuses. I don't get why people still buy Samsung phones. Their phones are only good for about a year until it's lagfest all over. The S6/E which was--appraised last year--for example suffers from RAM management issues, and degrading battery life and performance. The same thing can and will happen to the S7/Note7 next year.

And the Note7 has four times the pixels that the iPhone 6s has. Lol I'd like to see how the iPhone does on VR.

There must definitely be a performace test with the resolution of the Note7 set to 720p. Since this is the first time a phone is able to do that, I definitely want to see how it does. This is a request to GSMArena.

AnonD-217916, 24 Aug 2016This has thus far been one of the most interesting commenta... moreThat shows your level of knowledge.. Apple's single core is much more powerful than any single core in Quallcomm or Exynos.. Apple also has the most powerful mobile gpu ever put on a phone.. But in the end it all is fed into that tiny screen with calculator-like 750p resolution . GN7 on the other hand is more flexible in delivering power due to its different cores.. Just like having multiple engines for multiple functions.. A big engine for car, a smaller one for lawnmower, and an even smaller one for your shaver.. The way Apple is doing is using a big V8 engine for your car, the same V8 engine for your lawnmower, and the same V8 for your shaver.. Imagine that.. That is why even with just 2 cores and small screen with even minute resolution the iphone battery will die in just minutes..

Every person with common sense who's not blinded by Apple's BS knows iphones last for 3-4 hours with heavy usage. With these batteries, it's physically impossible to have better authonomy, despite all "optimizations" (Well a small car with 100hp runs great, but that still doesn't make it a sports car and it still can't beat a 300hp sports car. And what if the sports car is actually at the same price...?). And if that's not enough, go to the other "arena" site and see the the battery benchmarks chart. "No other phone can beat it"? Well, except for a little more than half of the phones they've tested.

This has thus far been one of the most interesting commentary ever since the GS7 was released in February after the G5.
Back to the topic: peaple saying that iPhone uses 720p screen, why again forget that it's using a dual core CPU vs Quad /Octa CPU.
I crave for the GN7 but fact is that no Android phone stands up to IOS interms of efficiency and usability. I own GS7 and 6s plus but I keep finding myself going back to the 6s unless I am taking pictures or recording video. Apps even work better on iOS. I have musica. ly on both but the 6s plus kings the GS7. And surprising my 6s plus beats the GS7 in battery performance. I even held a battery killing contest and the only phone that beat it at home was the HUAWEI Mate 8. One feature am more oftenly liking is the waterproofing On the GS7 ... For show offs!

No sd, no 2 sim slots, mediocre battery, average camera, agerage display. Like people said, "fast" and "optimized" phones like iphone are for people who would buy a car without back seats, without AC, without trunk, with 5l gas tank and so on, just to have better acceleration than the same model with all conveniences. I'll pass, although i wouldn't buy a Note either, for the same reason - still too many compromises. No second sim+sd slot, no removable battery, no powerful speaker(s). But at least it's the best in more than one thing, so it's still far better than iphone (Or Nexus).

I like both phones-but this is not a fair or accurate test. Both have good points and both have not so good points. You choose.

Ontopic: I wont stray towards iPhone again just because it opens an app few seconds faster. By the end of the day what matters most is battery life and non of the iphones (except maybe the plus series) have ever lasted more than 3 hours in my heavy gaming session. At least my current note 2 lasts about 5 hours with 7% battery charge.

Now turn on the 720p mode on Galaxy Note 7 and try it again.. We all know that the iphone 6s is just a measly 720p screen compared to 1440p screen of GN7 which is 4 times the pixels to process.. That is why they don't test it with Apple's phablet the iphone 6S plus because even with just full hd 1080p screen is heavy enough for the A9 to compete with SD820.
