AnonD-575799, 24 Aug 2016This is completely unfair. comparing two different software... moreIsn't this EXACTLY the point of comparing?
So you're saying we should all have identical phones?

This is completely unfair. comparing two different software platforms and two diff rent CPU architectures with the apps written differently for the each platform. Other than that GN7 has much higher resolution display and CPU combine with GPU will take much more stress to render graphics on that display. When it compares android apps with ios apps everyone knows they are written in two different languages and two different approaches. Even though apple loads apps faster some of the UI contents loads much slower than androids. Last but not least who the hell like to use apples propitiatory technology and extremely limited IOS over the full featured open-source android

Clear hiccups and lag on the galaxy note 7. I am a Galaxy s7 user and can confirm what everyone has been saying - performance detriment over time and I does not live up to the flagship label. Even now while typing word prediction is tangibly delayed... They nailed the design, despite the plastic home button, battery is very good as well as the camera... user experience though suffers a great deal, and it's been like that for ages now.

iPhone 6s screen resolution: 750 x 1334
Note 7 screen resolution: 1440 x 2560
Its an interesting comparison as usual, but the thing is these phones have a huge difference in terms of screen resolution, which makes this comparison interesting but nothing to take a decision upon because it isn't a fair one. Lets ask ourselves this, what would've happened if the the iPhone had a 1440 x 2560 screen?
and a better more reasonable comparison would be with the iPhone 6s Plus, which again is still lower in terms of resolution 1080x1920.
Im not whining that the Note 7, again i find this comparison interesting and im sure Apple's optimizations played its role, but still it isn't a comparison that i would take any decisions upon. I would definitely would like to see how Apple would fair off with a 1440 x 2560, would it stutter? would apps work perfectly?

based on the UI's for both and how powerful the apple chip is, It comes as no surprise. I'll never choose an iphone over a Note but if the galaxy UI was built and optimized as the iphones have always been, i'm pretty sure it would win in the same speed tests. Simply put its doing much more work than the iphone is. That being said, for it to keep up that much the note is definitely my choice.

But if there's a doubt on your mind, look at the speed test of iPhone 6s, is 6s plus against s7edge, or the new one plus, iPhone is aways behind.

This is only one speed test too, sometimes if it makes another with other phone note 7 will perform better.
Android phones depends of various things when it comes to performance.
Carriers around the world put a lot of apps in system.
But I think sometime iPhone perform better and sometimes android perform better
But it's true that iOS is lighter system

Samsung phones are bloated with a ridiculous number of features and background services running, which requires more processing power than something running a cleaner build of Android like the Moto Z or a Nexus

I was on iPhone since the very beginning. I would loop the first iPhone ads on my PSP back in summer of 2007. I get that Android can get laggy but people need to understand that a software update can remedy all that. Software is correctable. Xiaomi knows this where MIUI is optimized on every kernel.
Where Apple lags is in INNOVATION. They stopped pushing the envelope. They no longer think that far ahead like Steve Jobs buying Pixar in 1986. Now that's foresight. Tim Cook's mission is pleasing their shareholders since they lack a motivator and visionary. Apple has over $100B and they are the least charitable company when it comes to philanthropy like Donald Trump who doesn't share his wealth. Tim Cook needs to step down. Apple will never be great again by the 2020's. Nobody stays on top forever.
Steve Jobs wanted to use $40B to destroy Android while Bill Gates donated $50M to Ebola treatment. Bill Gates hooks up Africa while Apple doesn't bat an eye for them. They already have many of you in their pocket while your tranced by their mantras. Samsung has nearly half a million employees which is still larger than Apple, Google, and Microsoft combined. When the earthquake in Japan hit in 2011, Apple solicited donations from their customers while Samsung donated from their own pocket. All Tim Cook is good at is accounting and releasing fruity iPhone color options because he is one.
If companies fought in a real war, Samsung would destroy Apple because they build their own military equipment like tanks and missile launchers. They have their own city, clothing line, and amusement park. They help their own country's government. Did you really believe Samsung only made electronic equipment and appliances? That their own expertise was only in mobile, SoC, TV's, and washers? Wrong! Samsung is a bigger conglomerate than Sony ever was!
Note7 over any iPhone whether SE, 6s, or 7 is the only right answer for me, son. They revolutioned the phablet movement and they still do it the best while iOS is really built for small screens and no true multitasking. Give Samsung time to software update Note7 users while iPhone 6s owners can open apps quicker but be forever stuck with a fix me physical home button they press 100x per day to wear out, no micro-sd slot, no VR, no S-Pen, and no to several things I listed earlier.
iTunes to handle media? LOL! That's a Trojan horse program for iOS users to get ball and chained into Apple's ecosystem. I want FREEDOM! If I can't download an app at the Play Store, I just download the apk somewhere else. With iPhone, you are stuck with the most boring homescreens of all-time. New design or not, iPhone luster peaked between 2007-2013. Watch Samsung change the game again with Project Valley.
Aim higher, kids. Like a K9 Thunder tank pointed to the Burj Khalifa both built by Samsung. Support a company that THINKS BIG because Apple no longer thinks different.

Anonymous, 24 Aug 2016So much excuses. Slow means slow. Don't give crap multitask... morethen why iPhone 6s is so slow compared to true android like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_CWMuPd6yA ?? slow means slow , iPhone can't even beat SD810 LOL

another interesting ''speed test'' against Note 7 : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDLtbJIOcaw
, so issue is not in the hardware nor android but in touchwiz . there are ''speed tests'' where true android outperforms iPhone 6S with older SD810 like this one here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_CWMuPd6yA

So much excuses. Slow means slow. Don't give crap multitask excuses.. core excuses.
Foolishness. All OS are multitask enabled. Else you will not be able to swipe without it pause to think, nor can you listen to music while browsing the web.
The only excuse for slow when multitask, means Android is utterly unoptimised.
One on one test, Run brave frontier, see Android performance melt at the face of iOS. Android is just crap, thats why its cheap, it has to be cheap else its not gonna sell.
Note 7 is a pretty hardware wrapped around a turd. No matter the cores / no matter the hardware goodness, its never fully used by the OS. Thats why Android fanboys keep excusing and excuses, and scream unfairness.

Based on my own Experience
The Reason why iOS is much more faster with regards to the test is because when you open an app and then open another one, the first app that you opened will be frozen if not closed at all whilst on Android the first App will continue running on the background thus requires for the processing to take time. You can say whatever you want but that is the FACT. When all apps are running even though they are on the background that is what you call TRUE Multitasking. That is very evident to any android Phone. You can easily check it from the settings > Apps or Applications and Check Running Applications and you will see the list of all running application on the background it might help enlighten you why iOS is Faster than Android.
For me, the test does not bother at all since you will not be using the phone the same way as it is on the test. If you know how to use your phone at its full potential then you are not going to experience any problem at all.
There is no point of comparing as Both Platforms have their own pros and cons. iPhones are on a different class so does the SGN Series. LG have their own as well with the modular design so does other OEMS that are trying to get the attention of the masses.
PEACE :)

That's the reason why I moved from note 5 to s7 edge. Note 5 was great but this days Samsung seems to pay more attention with the s line.
Note line was the best in performance but now, s line is better. At least it's what's I've seen.

This test proved iphone has more speed, but since iphone chip only two cores so the apps is light weight as well. Doesnt prove satisfaction at all

AnonD-508301, 23 Aug 2016Even then, when both had no multitask in the start iPhone wa... moreStill nothing new. Compared to the most powerful ios iteration, no android is a match when it comes to smoothness and speed. Software integration is apple's forte whereas android's is customization (one of several). A few milliseconds slower doesn't bother the practical user. But the ability to properly multitask and customize does. That's something ios has never been able to match android with. One last time, nothing new. Moving on.
