Samsung Galaxy Note7 loses to year old iPhone 6s in speed test

23 August, 2016
Despite being a year old, the iPhone 6s is known to hold its own against more modern devices in speed tests. This is in no small parts due to Apple's software optimization, the performance of the A9 chip, and incredibly quick NVMe storage. But how does it fare against the brand new Galaxy Note7?

To all of you defending samsung with the excuse of higher resolution, just look at the speed test of S7 vs G5, with identical specs, spoilert alert: G5 is faster in both laps. Samsung can definitely improve S7 and note 7's pathetic speeds and ram management but they won't since their main team is already hard at work for the S8 and only a small team at samsung is fullfilling google's requirement of offering minimum of 1.5 years of software support.

its because the iphone doenst support multitasking

the apps are frozen as soon u hit home or recen apps menu.

in android, some of them are allowed to run, u get warning if they start using too much ram or cpu

Galaxy S6 was faster than iPhone 6s
now u tell me note 7 is slower than iPhone 6s.

It was definitely expected for the poor performance of the note 7 in speed tests. The S7 edge (exynos and sd) was already slower than iphone 6s and with note 7 having identical specs as S7 edge but loaded with note exclusive softwares running all the time, it was pretty obvious it was going to be crushed by iphone 6s, and the 6months older S7 was going to be faster than note 7 too.

What do you honestly expect, my iPhone SE I paid $399 is so much faster than my Galaxy S7 edge that I paid $800.
