Huawei on the other hand give actual Android updates, although slow. And they are improving. I personally prefer get and actual Android update, though getting the skin updated would be awesome.

AnonD-237381, 24 Aug 2016My Redmi Note 3 received the MIUI 8 but it's still Lollipop... moreYeah same goes to me, I saw a lot them complaining why their phone still stuck on Kitkat or Lollipop while everyone start receiving Marshmallow or Nougat(soon), but they forget that most of the Chinese OEM had deeply modified the Android so even thou each of their Android version is different, most of the main feature of their "UI/OS" will be updated to all their devices.

If I want Android Marshmallow I install Ressurrection Remix or CyanogenMod...

My Mi4i got updated yesterday! Battery life seems good, though I reset my phone to factory settings just to make sure.

One thing I notice about the chinese smartphone was that due to they had modified their UI so deep compare to the mainstream Android phone, which is why even thou some of it device still running on Android Kitkat or Lollipop, they doesn't really care much about it as long as their latest "OS/UI" was updated for all their devices.
