I hope that performance will rise up like on my sgs5 after MM, wife has rn3 pro and it is great phone, only the camera is worse than on my sgs5.

That's why you don't buy MTK devices. Either you're stuck with shipped firmware (granted, security, performance,... updates will still happen in most cases) or you get one bigger update if you're lucky. About custom ROMs - forget about it.
