There was never a compact version of Z series phone, which would be better than the flagship itself. For example Z5 compact does not have better specs (better chip and etc.) than Z5, so why on earth would you want Xperia X compact to be better than Xperia X (it is not Xperia X performance compact or Xperia XZ compact). Sony Xperia X compact still has the same chip as Sony xperia X and it does make sense. We only need is justice in pricing of the compact version of not-so-flagship phone that Xperia X was.

It feels very cheap in the hand, and any paint on it will easily chip away. Where glass excels in beauty, and metal excels in durability, plastic doesn't.

S7 no have stereo speakers.

Also IOS is not needed. SOny's phones like Z5, X and XP are producing top class pics without it.
Get your head out of the spec sheet & look at real life performance.

The xz has a pretty good design.
X compact is disappointing on a few levels. Plastic. Sd650.
I guess we just have to accept bezels as a part of Sony design. Main problem is the price. They need more aggressive pricing.

I was really hoping for a successor to the Z5 premium. While the display was overkill in terms of resolution, had they simply replaced the 810 CPU with an 820 or 821 CPU I would most portably have got one. Unfortunately it seems Sony are not interested in doing a phone with same size screen that can even match the Z5 Premium let alone anything better. Then to make matters worse they then trot out for the most part mid-range phones at top-tier prices and somehow seem to think we all be fooled in to thinking they are hi-end. I know Sony have stated they could move away from the mobile arena but a group of over-priced sub-standard phones that are little better or worse than what they are meant to replace does seem a rather extreme way of doing it.

I don't know what the hell is wrong with you people. Too many bad comments against sony. I am pretty sure most of them never used a Sony phone. Just bashing Sony for sick enjoyment for their pathetic life. If you can't afford to buy a Sony just get lost. Glass back was always a bad idea. Sd650 is a great choice too because its easy on battery.

But is it an awesome Sony, when Sony used to mean waterproof and high end materials.
This may be a awesome Samsung mini but not an awesome Sony mini as from Sony we expect better.
