Very sad that Samsung did not do their best in product reliability but only care of making money! This is very bad.

if you go for an exchange your getting the bad stock still, so that unit might also explode.... negligence on Samsungs end. I expected exactly that.

Samsung sacrificed practicality for better looks that is fragile.
- Dual edged displays has got be the most useless design gimmick in years. Better wait for foldable displays because at least it gets protected when closed. A dual edge is slippery and isn't protected from a drop like a flat-sided would.
- Gorilla Glass 5 is a total mess up by Corning similar to Qualcomm messing up Android OEM's with that Snapdragon 810 last year.
- Software lag and RAM management. This can be fixable over time but Samsung still hasn't learned its lesson.
- Non removable battery. Stick to a Note 4 which still has it. The most important planned obsolescence component by most manufacturers. It is also faulty which can explode. Didn't Samsung learn the mistakes Sony made with their VAIO laptops?
Design is only great when the ergonomics and durability are there. It is why I was no longer a fan of the iPhone 4 series design because putting a glass rear just isn't practical. I wasn't a fan of the iPhone 5 series design either because how boxy it felt. I still believe the Moto X, G, and E have great hand-in feel though. Just skip most flagships this year. Very few are really worth their $700+ asking price. Max should be $400 or even less. People complain about PS4 or Xbox One being expensive at $300-$400, but least they could last five years or more with the proper care. A Note7 will look uglier just by the smudges and scratches it easily gets within a day. Then software lag which Samsung is famously known for.
You all are being duped just to look cool in front of people. Disposal e-waste after a year or two. Samsung messed up the Note7 like Apple with iPhone 4's Antennagate and HTC's M7 purple camera. There wasn't enough quality control. Note8 better correct the Note7's issues like the 4s and M8 did for their predecessor. Zero flagships hold my interest now. Forums is the breeding ground of OCD paranoia. Websites like this is the breeding ground to lust after phones when most of us can be perfectly content with the ones we currently use. I would go back to my Nokia 3310 if it had Android on it. At least those Nokias were built to last.

AnonD-579068, 01 Sep 2016Samsung QC nowday its so terible...
Google it for samsun... moreWhat do you expect? They learned it from the best, apple...
Even though Samsung is making enough profit out of each galaxies (more than any Android manufacturers) they wanted more since apple was making more
So they no longer make phones in Korea but in Vietnam and China instead
And now they are blaming one one of their suppliers but not themselves
Typical move from Samsung
Tell me fanboys how Samsung is any better than apple in this case?
Bending.... Antenna problem fine... Sucks but I get it
But explosion? That's just another level

Nleft47, 01 Sep 2016It seems that you have some grudges for marketing and accou... moreAnd had they waited a bit longer and been less worried about geting it out ahead of the iPhone 7 at any sacrifice, they may have been able to perform more extensive testing and avoid this. This will cost them far more than just being a bit more rigourous upfront and I very much suspect that was driven by marketing people who were not willing to acknowledge the risks. I have actually seen it happen in other companies, granted smalller but none the less pertinent for that, on a number of occasions.

Savor, 01 Sep 2016Add that VR is still in its infancy and deals 2K which isn'... moreConsoles? LOL!
If there is a detail analysis like that, price to performance ratio then all the phones from all the major manufacturers should be should be withdrawn, Sonys, Notes, HTCs, all of them, only OnePlus or some Huwaei phones will be in market, but it doesn't work like that. Why compare phones only then? You might have lower IQ than most, doesn't mean you can't live in this world.
There are people who don't mind paying premium for a premium phone. Sure, OP3 and phones like that value for money, but there are hidden caveats too, for example, the after sales service is non existent for OP, then there's the quality control, and that's just two amongst many many points.
However yes, the current pricing of the phones like Note 7 is probably is on the higher side a little, that's true, but I don't expect any major change in this regard any time soon, nor I expect any.

Performance lag - not lie - every other reviewer has prompt that out and told its touch viz which makes lag ... make your fact correct and do some research before you throw your own personality on others.
I highlighted issues, which all are correct and should not expect for $800 smartphone and from Samsung brand, note I am using Samsung S7 Edge ... and I am very happy with it. Problems with Note 7 can not be ignored.

Savor, 01 Sep 2016Add that VR is still in its infancy and deals 2K which isn'... moreso no flagship should be charged more than $200?? i understand where ur logic comes from... but keep in mind that some ppl (not everyone of course) keep their phones for years, take the ppl that still owns Note 4, Note 3, Nokia N8 and so on... and regardless, the companies have to make money, that's what business is all about, some pay $10 for a cup of coffee so fifteen times that equals a flagship? now i won't defend samsung but all flagships, whatever brand it is it's all matter if ppl are willing to pay and that's it
