If they keep trying to come up with the next model as fast as possible to beat Apple or someone else, and if they keep relying on people who only judge by the looks (And forget it's supposed to be a tech device in the first place), then no. They'll keep failing.

What with all you people talking as if it is over for Samsung. Nobody gonna buy it anymore? Please. This is normal things to do a recall and replace the product especially in car industry. Exploding airbags is the most common flaws in cars. If a Mercedez do a recall does it mean nobody wants to buy it anymore? If a Ferrari do a recall everyone will be sure the car is insafe and share falls drastically? I applaud Samsung to have the courage of admitting their Note7 have faulty battery and for safety reason would replace ALL of it free of charge in the most convinient and efficient way possible. If this were Xiaomi or Huawei or HTC, would they even have the ability to even admit the mistakes or even replace the huge volume of phones? No. That's why Samsung is the only one that provide the best after sales service in smartphone. They solved the spen problem by replacing it for free. They sloved battery problem by replacing it for free too. Let see when iphone 7 launched and have problem would Apple do anything? I bet Tim Cook will say, "You doing it wrong!".

the pursuit for increasing profits is ambitious and shared by all..samsung, apple, sony, everyone(except OnePlus..i don't know what they are doing)...everyone has had some problems...apple's bendgate, sony's brittle screens, now samsung's batteries...i end up thinking batteries have the worst quality control, this is not the first incident of a battery exploding, even a wrong voltage charger one bought for 2$ can short a battery and make it explode..atleast they acknowledged the problem...though you have a tough year ahead
