Imagine 4% each at 1 million dollars sue by customer.

Those that returned, they do not even need to give new ones, they just recycle old ones with new batteries only.

They do not care about you, only the cheapest course.

Guys... I know is a fiasco but, What will other companies do in this situation?... I don't think they all "except for apple" will do what Samsung is doing for its customers, probably they will be blaming non original chargers or misuse, but a global recall?, I will replace my note 7 just in case and I do appreciate what Samsung is doing by assuming the responsibility for their battery fiasco.

This is a punishment that Samsung gets for
having a curved display and for having non removal battery! No excuse not to have a removable battery on a phone, so we can use third party large battery with case. No excuse not to have a flat display instead of a stupid edge display.

in media its as simple as a recall, internally is a lot of work for samsung. I'm not sure what they are going to do with 2 million faulty units out there. What are they going to do? literally? are they going to take it back and "destroy" them? or are they going to take it back, open every unit and fix it? in North america we have to ship the units back. Now the problem is the carriers already "payed" for the phones, Samsung needs to pay the shipping fees to ship it back, and they also either have to issue replacements or refunds to the carriers, my gosh, this is going to be in the news for a while.

Best of luck Samsung. word of advice. Focus on your own products, don't focus on others, and stop with the attack ads. Karma will not let you go.

Anonymous, 02 Sep 2016they don't give a crap about customer, they just don't want... morewhen samsung faces lawsuit, it doesn't really get publicized, since its not really a big deal, whatever samsung does is really not a big deal, this explodegate is an oppurtunity for apple users to get back at android users who constantly troll them.

Samsungs marketing tactics is to over flood with as much attention as possible to overshawdow the coming apple releases. Samsung is once again forced to make moves. The specs of their devices is based against apple the release date is once again based against apple. Their ads are based against apple, karma has hit em hard this time, as this type of media attention is recalling their faulty note 7's. Not sure how the hell they came to the conclusion that 24 of 1 million units are faulty, I have no idea were they came up with that number. Even during the bendgate, Tim Cooke they only 9 complaints towards the bendgate issue.

my gosh, Neglecence on Samsung's end.

Samsung's stradegy, get expensive parts, quickly put a phone together, and lets go. Quality assurance our butts.
