Very good move. They acknowledged that their battery are likely faulty instead of blaming the users and made an massive recall that costs them millions in $$$.
A lame company would have said: the users misused the phone so not our fault.
No, they've put their brand at risk for us, the customers. Thanks Samsung for this sweet risky move. Now if you could just be faster in terms of updates and bringing them to older devices, you would be almost perfect (perfection would be a phone with an GTX Titan, 64 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 1 Tb UFS 2.0, 4K screen with optional 3D, updates at Google's pace, money printing module, unbreakable, NEVER OVERHEAT, being very thin but not that much, huge battery and other features I won't write here beacause there are so many, WHILE costing 5$ or less, without a plan)

I know a lot of people view this as bad for Samsung, but it may be a really good thing too. Personally, Taking care of customers is ignored so often and a company stepping up to take care of people is a big deal. Good for them. They did the right thing. they bit the bullet and owned up to it. you don't see a lot of companies doing this. hats off to Samsung. On the other side, don't worry Apply will not make fun of you as you did for the Antenna Gate, Bend Gate. They are much better off to handle criticisms. So next time Samsung don't over Gloat your products with competitors, it looks cheap with your advertisement target done over the years.

Why people jump on news like this and post nonsense just for the sake of it? Things like this happen in every industry and the least a company could do is to recall faulty products, like Samsung is doing.
Yeah, it's unfortunate and can hurt Samsung's reputation, but it could be way worse if they didn't show any hint of accountability.

This is why mobile phones should have removable batteries. I will only need to change battery instead of handing over phone... i love note 7 will still buy Notes... but this is disappointing...
