1 billion is just a coins for Samsung. Remember Samsung give Apple a total 2billion dollars for patients violation and beyond?

If it was any other component, this would not be an issue, but it would only take one battery to catch fire in an aircraft or overnight in a home to cause a catastrophe and possible death(s). I feel bad for both Samsung and Space X, both doing bleeding edge stuff and paying the price.
Interesting to note (no pun intended) that to date, no one has died as a result of either company's ventures. We do really live in a very safety aware world.
