It's $800. Almost same price and hardware as most flagships(Samsung, Apple, HTC, Sony etc) have. Only difference is the OS. Why complain about the price? If you don't like it, don't buy it. People talk as if only Samsung and Apple have the right to price their products very high. If MS sinks because they do not know how to price their products, so be it. At least it doesn't explode right?

Reason? They stalled - left it too late. Developers just don't care.
I tried to download a swipe keyboard for my windows tablet the other day. Does one exist? Course not! Facepalm

Anonymous, 06 Sep 2016It is a great looking phone but it is to expensive!!! &poun... moreAgreed, in actual fact if the HP Elite X3 team had opted for Android, it would pretty much have the 5.9 inch Screen size segment all to itself currently, as very few flagships around the 6 inch size with QHD Resolution, (Until Mate 9 released maybe) what a shame HP, Microsoft not doing you any favours either with the 950 price cuts. Oh well at lest is not as bad as spending $11 billion on a software company no one ever heard off! (Autonomy).

It is a great looking phone but it is to expensive!!! £700 here in the UK!? Wait a few months & I am sure that it will drop again! £300 maybe, £250 definitely!!

Microsoft just massively reduced their 2 continuum phones and also bundelling a free dock. So the 950 and 950xl £249 and £339 in uk effectively making the Hp elite x3 DOA

Good hardware terrible OS. Sorry but i is stupid, why people should be really good hardware and use it with crap Windows (phone)Mobile ? Windows Phone/Mobile has always been weakest in comparison with Android and iOS. And now is allmost dead. If you have 800$ (!) buy Sony XZ, HTC 10, BlackBerry Priv or new iPhone.

If I can install 3rd party OS like UBUNTU or any Linux Distro or even Android then it'll be a deal.... But I doubt it so no thanks and HP have low shelf life like their other tablets.
