Samsung have quite long story in battery development, even a good powerbank, particularly in my country, must be use samsung battery. Maybe its time for them to invest more in R&D for their battery division so they can increase Phones battery life.

Kmrl, 06 Sep 2016It should be for Samsung like, give me the faulty battery, ... morePlease read my original post. I stated very clearly I was not in favour of them but where you can tie a faulty battery to one device and only one device has to be safer, in this instance, than where you can move it between devices and possibly destroy a known good device with a battery that Samsung has no control over because the user can move it between devices at will. Like it or not stupid customers will do stupid things.

Didn't this happened when the S4 first came out? They had a program where users can trade in their batteries for a new one. #RemovableBattery

Take a look at Samsung st... moreLmao Samsung is not just a Mobile industry so that's why it isn't affecting the stock as much, but yes this recall is going to cost Samsung greatly. This is suppose to be Samsungs best phone out on the market. Having to recall while the competitors are releasing their latest flagships at the same time doesn't take a rocket scientist to now whats going to happen Q4

Of course Japanese and Chinese technology are better and more reliable. Korean never stands for quality, it is always marketing, marketing and more marketing.

Just received a message from Samsung.

Recalling 51,060 GN7 in Australia. There are 2 devices in Australia which have had problems.

We can choose a new GN7 (and courtesy device until replacement GN7 arrives) or a full refund. Replacement delivery is expected in 3-4 weeks.

I think the courtesy device is for those who bought through Samsung Australia (like myself). I think a lot of other re-sellers are doing similar things.

Samsung says I will need to give my Note 7 to the courier (Samsung pays & organises) to get the courtesy device... this black duck will just stick with his GN7 for 3-4 weeks until new stock is available for a straight swap.

Good to see Samsung going all out to fix it.

Thank God...we had enogh of their crappy batteries. They need to shut down that division completely
