Samsung to unveil the Google Nexus S on 8 November?

29 October, 2010
There is something cooking over at the Samsung camp and we're about to see what in just two weeks, on 8 November. Rumor has it, this might actually be the next-gen Google Nexus, the Nexus S (Nexus Two)...

Anonymous, 01 Nov 2010I'm saying that i want the Ferrari. But if i can't have it,... moreI never suggested to exchange any parts nor was it my insane idea to take the ford parts and put it inside a Ferrari. If you can't afford a Ferrari then don't be a cope out by installing beautifully designed pats inside a junk car, buy what you can afford. The problem is buyers like you that give companies enough excuses to put out horrible products cause they know they can reply on buyers like you that will settle for 2nd and 3rd rate products.

I don't give a damn about nexus s, I already bought sgs and it is on 2.1 and only god knows when we will get 2.2 ?! so yes nexus s is super cool, but I already bought my phone.

So the question is will samsung support me ?? or I'm just old news for them and now they are focusing on new things like usual. Samsung are just sucking our blood, when will we get Froyo? and don't tell me in November because it'a a lie.

        answer,
have tu go to and read this forum b4??
        http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=665

i did flash latest rom to my sgs 10x or more already. i only got 2 times brick my sgs. but i can recover n flash to another rom fw. now im stick to xxjpm, cos theme is nice n its stable n faster than other fw. u should try it by ur self, dont rely on kies... n make sure ur sgs is capable to go download mode by pressing 3 button combo.

But how does that matter if as a normal user you are not going to test it under pure dark. In normal light conditions it no doubt looks pure dark. I admit the fact that there may be backlight for god known reasons !

I just figured out, effectively speaking the galaxy s has only 27.778% of the resolution of an iphone 4. No wonder the display ain't that sharp.

Doctor Shahkar, 30 Oct 2010Simply Love My samsung Galaxy S ( Captvate ) . Super Amoled... morethe reason why samsung display is not that crisp compared to an iphone 4 is that
first it has a lower resolution and bigger screen size so there are fewer pixels per a unit of given area
second samsung display uses a pentile matrix pixel arrangement and in this arrangement a pixel is made up of only two sub pixels i.e. rg or bg instead of rgb as standard so the effective resolution of the samsung display is even lower than the stated one and thats why the image is not so crisp.
Finally the amoled display used by Samsung can't display true black as opposed to what many people think. Do this take your galaxy s and transfer a black photo in it now go into a dark room at night and see that photo on your mobile. You will notice that you can still see the backlit screen while the fact is that all pixels should be turned of to display true black.
I think to tackle poor brightness on their amoled units samsung has put in a weak backlight on these screens defeating the entire purpose of an amoled display.

I on the other hand focus much more on the INTERIOR. And let's face it, Galaxy S has the best there is. As for the cheap material (no so cheap if you ask me, but that is purely my opinion) you can always buy a good case and voila, problem solved. But you can't simply put a Humminbird into any other phone...

                            Samsung + Plastic material+shinny +cheaply, squeaking external cases= Disaster.

This is beyond HORRIBLE from Google's decision making. They have now sold their soul to make more money rather than making a great product. Commercialized, bang them out products are replacing the state of the art devices with quality interior & EXTERIOR, with emphasis on the exterior, made phones.

Google, if are listening, you took something that was the foundation for the future, Nexus One, that could have staged the world to follow your lead, and put it in to a hand of the salesman standing in the corner of wall street alley trying to sell you a secret of a stock to buy.

Complete failure in more than one way with this move.

The whole point of the phone is it's going to be like the nexus one - stripped down to bare Android. Google are choosing Samsung to manufacture it, thats all. It's just like the Nexus One in that HTC manufactured it but it's Google's original software and the HTC Desire is the same phone but with their HTC Sense. So the Galaxy S to the Nexus S will be like the Desire was to the Nexus One.

Simply Love My samsung Galaxy S ( Captvate ) . Super Amoled and Humming Bird are simply Awesome . But at the same time i own iPhone 4 . I just wish Captivate had iPhone 4's Insane Retina Resoultion ( the resolution of iphone is simply insane although i feel that Galaxy S screen is super beautiful comparitively , but the pics are alot crisper on iphone 4 ) .
Secondly , Samsung needs to improve on there build quality . When held both handsets in hand , galaxy S feels very cheap compared to iPhone 4 . So hope they improve on that front . Best of Luck Samsung

If this had the same hard ware as the galaxy s the galaxy will turn out to be a really good buy. God work samsung! The galaxy is anyways a brilliant phone.
