Anonymous, 30 Oct 2010U know my friend samsung is not going to do anything....
e... more
I don't give a damn about nexus s, I already bought sgs and it is on 2.1 and only god knows when we will get 2.2 ?! so yes nexus s is super cool, but I already bought my phone.
So the question is will samsung support me ?? or I'm just old news for them and now they are focusing on new things like usual. Samsung are just sucking our blood, when will we get Froyo? and don't tell me in November because it'a a lie.

Samsung should care more about releasing a buggy free fro... moreU know my friend samsung is not going to do anything....
everything about update is on Google this time...
so be + ... this time customer wins...
we khow sami is the best hardware manufacturer no one denies it... and google is the best supporter no one denies this ... right?
so what's wrong? What matters for us is phone not manufacturer!!!

Samsung should care more about releasing a buggy free froyo for their customers instead of making this. That's the problem with samsung they only care about the money.
But they never provide proper support. Honestly, I would like to stick with a company that provides both good phones along with great support.

if it is a Google phone then it won't have touch wizard or any customizations from Samsung just like the nexus one. It will also be the first to get updates. that's cool samsung's best hardware plus Google's backup.

Anonymous, 29 Oct 2010This doesn't make sense, the Nexus 2 will have to be top of... moreit's actually top of the range. The Hummingbird is comparable even to the dual core Qualcoms which will be present in the new HTC devices. So, unless HTC starts using top of the line CPUs and GPUs Samsung will be a better Nexus 2 device. That damn Adreno gpu in the N1 just drove me insane - I prefer the HTC building quality but right now the HTC's hardware sucks compared to the Samsung's and will still suck even next year when the dual cores are out. SO, yeah, SGS was the best spec'd phone when it appeared it still will be when the Nexus S is out.

I really don't want this happen! Samsung quality is just cheap! It never gives you this high class feeling.
I highly would prefer htc to make such phone than samsung. Please google I hope it's just a rumor because I'm sure your smarter than this. You used to choose Sony and htc as a first choice.
But samsung ? come one now, next time will it be lg Or even worse a Chinese phone company.

This doesn't make sense, the Nexus 2 will have to be top of the range when it comes out. The Galaxy S is not top of the range, it's a 6 month old phone.

Ed, 29 Oct 2010Uhh, I'm kind of confused here. So Samsung will be making a... moreYeap, Samsung will be throwing out a model for google that outperforms their best. Not for long, HTC had their magic a week later. But The Nexus One S/2 will be done by Samsung. That's it.

even if SGS does not get an official Gingerbread soon as it's still waiting for Froyo it will be easer for the dev teams to port it to SGS which has the same specs, so I guess soon after the Nexus Two release we will be able to flash to 2.3 through Odin.

Well, I have SGS and think this is good news. This means that Samsung will have the code for Gingerbread and SGS will definitely get a Gingerbread update sooner or later.
