Nokia X2-01 surfaces, is another QWERTY-packing S40 phone

2 November, 2010
We just stumbled upon some photos and specs for a rumored Nokia X2-01. The device looks a lot like the Nokia C3, but it's obviously positioned even lower. Yes, we're as confused as the rest of you...

Since you think this is so obvious, care to tell me which one is the best between Galaxy K, Galaxy A, i6500u Galaxy, M110S Galaxy S, Galaxy 3, etc., what are their price ranges, feature sets and so on...

With Nokia at least, if my friends hear X2 they know its in entertainment focused and has less features and price than X3 or X6.

Just certain company keeps on repeating releasing so called "new" models...how many versions of 5800/1100 are there? Are they all being "necessary"? For those who only use the phone to make / receive calls, perhaps text a lot with qwerty, what the heck to give a better cam than the next up-level model?

Mallows, 03 Nov 2010 i'm not an expert but let me just give a quick response: ... moreThen do you have proof your beloved company sells off every single last model before it releases a new (replacement) one? At the rate this company has been releasing phone, I really doubt so.

Or else, can you explain where would these "unsold" phones would go to without discounting?

i'm not an expert but let me just give a quick response:

Like what i said, read first before posting so you won't end up looking like a junk.
              1. GSMArena said these are rumored specs. Did they say its official? I don't think so. Or you might want to read the article again. maybe, just maybe, I'm wrong.
              2. lowering the prices is subject not only to nokia's decision but by market demands and supplies available. be logical
3.how can you talk about nokia sending phones to landfills? are you part of that company? do you hold any shares? are you one of their employees? thank you but only a fool can accpet such pre-empted words. marketing strategies vary from one product to another.

Wtf, they are releasing an s40 phone which doesn't have things like multitasking and a very limited party of applications available? Or do I understand this wrong? Shouldn't it be running Symbian^3? What is this phone for?"

Sometimes, it really pays to shut up.
1.please be advised that S40 and S60 are co existing in nokia's phne range. S40 are made for feature phones while S60 were developed for mid range to high end phones.
2.Not every person in this world can afford expensive mobiles. and yes, $100 can be a large chunk of money for a person. and not everyone needs multiple application installed in their mobile. Care for a flashlight app if you got the real thing in your cupboard?

For experts out there, can you explain why this "strip down" phone is having a batter camera than whatever next "up" level model from the company?

Sounds to me as if E63 is a car, it comes with power windows and door locks, and a sunroof. Then this company offered another model minus the sunroof. Now we've another model having manual windows / door locks but it comes with a sunroof! What's the point?

I do know this company LOVES to do the following:

                            - instead of simply lowering the prices of "outdated" models, it constantly releasing so called "new" models (with less features), so the media is being bombarded with "news" from the company

                            - in order to sustain the prices of the "up level" models, unsold units maybe sent to landfills directly, as any further discounts may cannabalize these "strip down" models

                            - the so called "new" models require new toolings, molding, boxes, printing, etc...and with the rate of this company releasing so called "new" models, more stuff is being sent to landfills before they can be fully utilized.

So much being the BIGGEST phone company....who probably sends more stuff to the landfills than any others.
