AnonD-589859, 26 Sep 2016GsmArena please, if you give us Geekbench stats etc, please... moreIt isn't that high when compared to the current Exynos S7 (edge).
S7 (edge, exynos) achieves ~1900 geekbench points in single core. So going up to 2300 isn't much...

i think 2300 - 7010 score is not enough if we say competition of speed and power. if we look at the iphone 7 right now it blast 3450 - 5650 it is way higher than 2300 single score, i rather to expect 3100 - 7100 or more on the samsung if they really planning for 3GHz clock, i suggest Quad-core 3GHz Mongoose & Quad-core 2.8GHz Cortex-A73 the newer one. and that will give a good result it might result higher than 3450 of iphone if samsung will improve and optimize there coming S8 Edge

GsmArena please, if you give us Geekbench stats etc, please give us something to compare it to. Im giant nerd but I have no idea if 2301 points is a good or not in Geekbench, I dont want to google that for 10min.

Yeah but when based on a successful existing architecture (Exynos 8890- which will obviously be improved in this iteration), and a die shrink (14-10 nm), the Exynos 8895 at 3 GHz sounds absolutely impressive and viable. Efficiency should be markedly improved due to the 10nm process, and performance should be better- which lines up with the claims.

Remember, clock speed is important when it comes to comparing similar architectures, but you are correct when it comes to comparing different ones.

Fast read/write is not everything, and recent Android device uses UFS 2.0 as internal storage. Next generation will be able to use UFS 2.0 cards as external.

If you are familiar with software development then you know that there are alot of task that you simply can't be split up into subtask to run in parallell. Its not something that can be magically solved by hardware. High single thread performance will always be beneficial, while multi threaded performance is very much up to the implementation of the application how much you can gain from it.
