First of all i3 has a HyperThreading,i5 does not! Or in layman terms,i3 tries to simulate 4 virtual cores.Yes it has really just a two of them,but to increase the efficiency(as no every cycle is effective) it threaded the execution of the code in four threads(or vr cores) because the execution is anyway out of order(RISK architecture)!
So to make it short and easy:if there is a program which cannot benefit of more than two cores,i5 and i3 are the same.If there is a program which benefit 4 cores,hyperthreading does its magic and keps the i3 at 75-80% of i5 performance easily.Granted L caches are the same as well the frequncy and everything else.

they use Exceed processors 4 image processing.... share-holders don't buy this...if you understand science you ll know it's theoretically not possible.

Smallest increase in performance for years.
By comparison Apple adds 40-50% more performance each and every year.
Samsung is getting behind in pretty much everything these days. They are losing the features crown and now their performance crown is fast going the way of the dodo.

GSMArena itself said not long ago that Samsung will phase out use of Qualcomm when it has got its CDMA tech in place. In other words the only reason to use Qualcomm is because of CDMA. CDMA is used by Verizon I believe.
10nm is a fantastic milestone. 5nm is as far as current tech will go they say. And no doubt very expensive to develop. But made possible by the numbers game - that a change amounting to say $1 per phone becomes $1mill if 1mill phones are sold.

Adreno 530 is a freakin' thermocentral.It throtles back even on light loads,so the speed of which you're talking about is "purely theoretical".
More so as the GPU is on the same piece of silicon as the CPU cores,it affect them also bcz of excessive heat.Surely the issue is not as grave as on the SD810 which itself is a piece of sh**.But Qualcomm firstly must find a way to increase the efficency of its SoC's before make them even more powerfull!

and new Iphone has 3233 single core...
I think that is one of the bigger reason ( with software) why iphones are always faster in real world benchmarks ( and sinthetic single core one )

If we're talking about image processing, then 70% improvement from its current 8890 (Mali 880 MP12) = 265,2 GFLOPS x 1,7 = 450,84 GFLOPS, compare to current SD820 with Adreno 530 = 407-500 GFLOPS. Can't wait for SD830 with (maybe) Adreno 630.... *grin*

triedany Samsung phone that is lag-free. I know that no phone is lag-free, but having too much is not good, considering it also happens a lot even with flagships. I remember watching an old S6's video about performance and crazily lags while just scrolling the app switcher. Same thing can I say about the S7. I watched the Btekt's video comparison of the Xperia X and the Galaxy S7 and I can clearly see a definite lag while scrolling on the S7's Home Screen. Come on Samsung. Is that what you got? Lags on flagships should only be noticed on games that requires a really beast CPU and GPU to operate smoothly. This is not good Samsung
